The updated district descriptions will help you decide where to stay and find your perfect paradise. I've also included key highlights in each area and some of my favourite hotels. 👍🏻 In this Bali guide, you'll also find recommendations for shops, restaurants, beach clubs, spas, massage spots, hidden beaches, and speakeasy bars—everything my friends and I loved and shared with each duringour travels

Good to know:

- There are many gems for staying in Bali, so check Airbnb as well as booking.com

- If you don't know how to ride a bike - download the Grab app - you can be picked up by a scooter driver and taken to the point you need to go to

- If you need to order food or anything else - the GoJeck app is the best for it

- Bluebird is the official taxi provider, and they have an app, however, in some districts, you can still order uber (not everywhere as locals fight with this system)

- Exchange points - please go to the trusted ones! This is one of the most scammed areas on the island.  Look for Mr and Mrs Butler (or other trusted ones)

- Sim card - get one upon arrival; this will save you money for internet traffic, and it is often needed for local restaurant bookings. Telcomsel is decent. You can get it at the airport; the price is the same as in the city

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Olga PS
Hey, lovely Tatchers! My name is Olga. I'm an expat living with my Italian husband in 📍 Haarlem, Netherlands. I can call myself a travel gem hunter and a professional Google pinner, as I can spend hours just googling around the map of the city where I go, searching for places to check out. According to a recent Instagram research, my first passion profession should be opening a restaurant (I looooove cooking), and on a second place (drums), I should be creating my travel guides, as all of my friends and friends of friends ask me for travel tips in cities, where they know I’ve been. I’m also obsessed with finding the fluffiest pillows in the hotels, the most exciting art shows and galleries and the most hidden speakeasy 🙈 So if you’re searching for actual hedonistic pins in: 📍Restaurants 📍Bars 📍 Art places and events 📍Hotels 📍Rooftops 📍Wineries We’re going to be friends :)
