All the places we visited on our 71 day road trip. The route went down from Calais on the west of France for a week including another week in the Pyrenees. The north of Spain and Basque region for around 2 weeks. Down through Portugal including Porto, Lisbon and the Algarve for around 4 weeks. A few spots in the south of Spain from the drive back home which took us 10 days. Finally finishing in Bruges, Belgium. Planning a trip to Marrakesh? Known as the "Red City" for the hue of its historic buildings and walls, Marrakesh is a hub of culture and tradition, where modernity and ancient customs blend. I believe one of the best ways to experience a European city is by reaching its highest vantage point for a panoramic view! Sometimes you see rolling skylines, sometimes grand axes or meticulously planned districts, all reflecting deep history. However, when you climb to a city's most famous tower, you often lose a key focal point in your overlook. That’s why I’ve discovered many hidden overlook spots that won’t disrupt your perfect skyline photos or videos. Stay tuned and I'll update this guide through time! Having visited 55 countries, people always ask me what place is my favorite? Well, it depends. A better question, I think is where would I like to visit for the first time again? Probably, Ankgor Wat or Machu Picchu or the Whitsundays. But, I loved living in Italy, Portugal and Thailand. Being in one places for months or a year allows you to really get to be a traveler and not a visitor. What places would I revisit - all of them! Earth is a big place, there’s so much to see. And I would certainly do things differently now with a family and a 4 year old than I did when I was nomading. What traps for the unwary have I learned? - Visa, scrambling to find WiFi that works at the airport because I didn’t pay a fee to enter Argentina - Visa, having a typo on my birthdate and almost being denied enter - 6 month experiation period for passports - literally had an airline agent in a lounge tear up my boarding pass in front of me
