Lisbon is having a huge touristic growth in these last years, its weather, its monuments and the kindness of the people are only some of the reasons. Like any other big city there are many restaurants and food shops that can be touristic traps, selling overpriced food not so good.
That's why I decided to write this guide about my favorite city in Europe, using my experience and my taste of when I lived in Lisbon. I hope that this could be useful for you.

Rather than spending all of your time in the crowded cities, for example Florence, Siena, and San Gimignano, here is a guide to help you discover more of Tuscany's beloved spots. This guide includes the area of/surrounding Florence, Lucca, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, the coast of Livorno, Elba Island, Chianti, Panzano, Montelupo Fiorentino, Fiesole, and so much more in between, regarding what to see, eat, and do. From wine tastings, yoga in the vineyards, picnics in the hills, to petting goats, or exploring the fascinating waterfalls, there is so much to discover.

Sharing my personal list of 200 local spots in over 23 Kootenay communities! The Kootenay region is a haven for anyone seeking recreation and relaxation, who wants something a tad quieter than Banff and Canmore. Located just West of the Southern Canadian Rockies, the Kootenays have charming small towns, jaw-dropping landscapes, friendly people, a relaxed energy and more trails than one could possible explore in a lifetime.
As a local who lives here, and has travelled throughout the East and West Kootenays, there are so many incredible places/things/spots/shops in this region that deserve the same hype as their Alberta mountain town neighbours. The Kootenay's are just as cool (but quieter and more affordable)!
Included in my list of 200 favourite local Kootenay spots, you'll find..
- Local Coffee Shops
- Local Shops & Specialty Stores
- Local Accommodations
- Local Restaurants & Cafes
- Local activities, trails and must see's*
⭐️ = My #1 must see in the community!
Everywhere listed in the guide is a place I have personally been, or a place that I have on my list to visit as quickly as possible (but that I know other locals visit and love).
* All the trails, activities and recreation recommendations are beginner/family friendly, no multi-day or difficult hikes here. If you're really into a specific sport, this guide will really help shape the rest of your trip to the area outside of your hike/ride/skiing.
The Kootenays are a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, active families and nature lovers - an incredible destination to explore for all.

The Tigullio Gulf, a jewel nestled on the calming Ligurian Sea, captivates with its serene beauty. Unlike the bustling energy of its larger neighbors, this string of charming villages offers a tranquil escape. Picture-perfect beaches painted with soft sand unfold beneath turquoise waters, while colorful houses line the coast, their facades bathed in the warm Italian sunshine.
The Tigullio Gulf isn't just a haven for luxury yachts, but a region steeped in a rich heritage. Ancient fishing villages whisper tales of the past, their narrow streets paved with timeworn stones welcoming you to explore their hidden gems. Here, every encounter unfolds at a slower pace, inviting you to savor the simple pleasures of the coastal life.
This guide includes:
- introductory note
- places to visit (photo spots, museums and cultural venues,, open squares, beaches and others)
- restaurants, coffeeshops and sweets spots
- photo spots

This guide takes you through central California, starting from Fresno. I was able to find cheap flights from my hometown to Fresno. You could also fly into Sacramento and make this loop work just as easily!
This guide uses mainly Marriott hotels, where if you're a member, you can use points to save money. Otherwise, there are tons of other lodging options at each stop.

Paris is a major global city, meaning incredible food from under-represented cuisines is at your fingertips. I have made a point to try restaurants from under-represented cuisines, and these ones are SO GOOD!
It's not hard to find incredible French restaurants, authentic Italian restaurants, and even a plethora of mouth-watering Asian restaurants.
However... this guide is different. I created this to help open your eyes to some of the other wonderful types of food you can savor here, and to shine a light on eateries/food cultures that don't always get as much hype as they deserve.
If you're looking for something off-the-beaten-path (or if you're tired of French food), you'll enjoy this guide.
This guide includes:
✅ 13 places I've tried & loved, including cuisine from Senegal, Israel, Singapore, Georgia, Kurdistan, Africa, Ethiopia, Tunisia, India, and Lebanon.
🇸🇳🇮🇱🇸🇬🇬🇪🌍🇪🇹🇹🇳🇮🇳🇱🇧🇩🇿
🇺🇸🍗 BONUS: An excellent fried chicken joint at a US soul food restaurant.
🤤 4 places I want to try next, including cuisine from Taiwan, Tunisia, and Armenia.
