Our five absolute favourite spots in Scotland. We spend two weeks road tripping around almost the entire mainland, and whilst we saw SO MUCH there are always those few places that stick with you. It's hard to narrow it down to just a few, but here are our top five Scotland favourites!

Sicily is like an onion 🧅 whose layers are peeled to reveal yet more layers. Nearly the size of Massachusetts, Sicily - Mediterranean’s largest island - offers a seemingly overwhelming range of textures, tastes and experiences: hilltop towns built from a honey-colored stone that turns incandescent at sunset, blood 🏵️ oranges so sweet you can eat the peel, churches built atop Phoenician walls, adorned with Arab flourishes and covered in Byzantine mosaics, beaches running from grey pebbles to licorice-black sand and always the vast prairie of the sea, stretching to the horizon in shimmering blues and greens. The island is undeniably Italian but also proudly and stubbornly apart from the mainland, which many locals refer to as "il continente". I've even included some personal anecdotes to give extra color to each destination! NB: As I travel back to the region I will continue to update this list. This is my guide to the main attractions in the state of Yucatán. Additionally, some places to sleep and eat around to make the most out of exploring this Mexican state. I have spent years exploring the region and getting to know my state's wonders. It is now time to share the results of all those experiences with others. Where else but in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea might you find such a little, gorgeous island? Malta is a lovely place to go for a summer beach holiday, however… the islands of Malta have a rich history that has yet to be explored. Will a week be sufficient? Due to its compact size, Malta allows visitors to maximize their sightseeing potential. This Itinerary is based on my explorations and carefully chosen places based on the best reviews, and my experience for an amazing road trip in Malta in the offseason. There are three islands to choose from, but You will only have time to explore two of them—Malta and Gozo—in just seven days. If You go in the off-season, however, You may also have time to visit Comino. Don’t waste Your money and time staying in different places if you’re traveling just for a week, do it only if it’s Your comfy home on wheels and you’re staying there. To give you an idea of how effective this can be, consider the following: two nights at one hotel on the island of Gozo, remaining nights in one hotel on the Maltese mainland, and one day of exploration in Comino without lodging. If you’re flying and hiring a car at the airport, Gozo as a first destination will be more convenient, but for the following days, explore Malta’s mainland. The streets are mostly tiny in Malta so be prepared for that.

If you are looking for an authentic, off-the-beaten path Caribbean destination, look no further than Roatan, Honduras. Located 40 miles off the northern coast of mainland Honduras, the island of Roatan offers a wide variety of activities, beautiful beaches, and delicious food. My first visit to Roatan was with a group of friends and family in March 2018. I loved the island so much, I returned solo a few months later. And, my group of girlfriends & I have decided that's where we will celebrate our 50th in 2024! Okinawa, Japan holds a huge piece of my heart. The culture is absolutely incredible, and the people are so selfless. I have fallen in love with this place. Greece, my favorite European country! The Greek mainland is by far my favorite part of Greece. It is less crowded and a lot cheaper than the famous islands. You can still find many authentic villages and incredible beaches. You can find the most relevant archeological sites here and breathtaking monasteries. It is the best region to go hiking and explore the many waterfalls. We always rent a car and go on a road trip through the vineyards and olive and peach trees.
