I studied abroad in Strasbourg and absolutely fell in love with this beautiful Alsatian city. It's situated just across the river from Germany which makes for a unique blend of French and German culture here in this quaint town. With canals winding through streets of half timbered houses, a gorgeous cathedral in the center of the city, and beautiful parks, it's like a city straight out of a fairytale. Here's some of my favorite places, restaurants and experiences to enjoy in Strasbourg!

Out of all the places I adore in France, Nice and its surrounding areas truly has my heart. This is where I dream of retiring.
You're still very much in France - BUT: The people are noticeably friendlier than in Paris (no shade to Parisians, I love them too), the weather is delightful, the beaches are gorgeous, and the food has a lighter, Mediterranean flair (as opposed to the heavy dairy-based recipes typical in much of France).
If 6 days sounds like a lot to you, never fear: This itinerary uses Nice as a home base and includes many day-trip options.
Guide includes:
📍 High Level Plan
✨ General Tips
🍅 7 Food & Drinks Not to Miss
🧼 7 Souvenir or Gift Ideas
🍴 10 restaurant/bar recs in Nice (5 cheaper, 3 mid-range, 2 higher end)
🗒️ 6-day Itinerary: 3 days in Nice (including arrival & departure days, and 1 full-day in Nice with two morning options & 2 afternoon options), and 3 days for half-day trips, full-day trips, or a free day*
🗺️ 7 additional options for your half or full-day trips from Nice or for your free day
💚 Pro Tips
*I suggest 1 full-day trip, 1 day split between 2 half-day trips, and 1 day of free time. These do not overlap with the 7 additional options for half and full-day trips,
You also get:
✍️ My personal notes for each recommendation
📍 An interactive map of all recommendations
🔓 Access to all future updates (I love Nice and keep going back)
🎞️ Linked videos (where applicable) that bring recommendations and advice to life

In the last few years, I've spent over 5 months in France. My situation is unique because my boyfriend is French, so I often get to explore areas of the country that other travelers might not think to visit.
Paris is certainly worth experiencing, but the rest of France has so much to offer, too! Spanning as far north as Lille and as far south as Bordeaux, this guide will give you everything you need to experience some of the best areas of France, outside of its capital.
The best part? I don't plan to stop exploring France anytime soon! I will continue to update this guide with new places as I visit them myself.
I hope this guide inspires and informs your next, or first, trip to this incredible country. Safe travels! 🧳

Cannes is a beautiful, sea-side city with plenty to do and even more restaurants to choose from. We visited in July and it was (predictably) hot!
- I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's pronounced "Can" not "Cans". I know, I've been saying it wrong for years too.
All recommendations come with this standard advice.
1. Do the activities/ touristy things early in the morning to both avoid the higher afternoon temperatures, as well as standing around in the heat because of the crowds of tourists.
2. Make a reservation! The restaurants are quaint; if they do have space, they will sit you inside after a super hot day with no air conditioning and you'll sweat it out in a corner.
3. Hydrate. 'Nuff said.

48 Hours in the Champagne Region of France (Visiting Reims & Epernay)
This is a guide for how to visit the Champagne region without a tour! There are so many group tours to the champagne region from Paris, but I strongly believed I could do it myself, and I was VERY successful. While group tours hold a lot of value for many people, I noticed group tours to champagne were quite expensive and there wasn't a lot of freedom to pick and choose what you wanted.
I created my own itinerary and we LOVED visiting this region and it was truly so easy! This will be an itinerary of what we did each day, where we stayed, where we ate and drank, and what we saw during our time in Reims & Epernay. I will also include at the end things I would do if I had more time... or should I say... WILL DO because I know we will return.
This itinerary involves taking the train from Paris but will also include other options. It includes a full day spent in Reims, France and a full day spent in Epernay. With 2 nights in a hotel in Reims. It will include a cost breakdown, where to make reservations, and some small gems we really loved!
I am also MORE than happy to consult with you about this itinerary to help you pick and choose what suits your needs.
