Lafayette is a north-south street in Manhattan named after the Marquis de Lafayette, the French aristocrat and hero of the American Revolutionary War. It begins at the intersection of Reade and Centre Street and runs thru Chinatown, NoLIta, NoHo and ends near Astor Place.
