Doing New York with kids

Doing New York with kids

New York is one big (adult) playground, but there's still something for everyone! Check out my kid friendly recommendations below. PRO TIP: If you need a public restroom, go to the nearest New York Public Library branch. Search 'NYPL' on your maps - there are 92 branches so you're bound to be close.

American Museum of Natural History
@melinnewyork
A wonderful museum for children and adults alike. There's so much to see, but don't miss the Big Blue Whale (just ask) and the dinosaurs upstairs.

Roosevelt Island Tramway
@melinnewyork
Take the tramway to Roosevelt Island for a fun little lift. This tram is part of the subway system, so no need to reserve in advance. Just show up, swipe your subway card (or tap to pay), and go! There's not a ton to do on Roosevelt Island, so it's fine to just ride it back and forth.
