THE DAY-BY-DAY GUIDE TO A BACHELORETTE WEEKEND IN VEGAS 👰♀️🍾🥂
They say, "What happens here, stays here…," but Vegas is sure to create memories that you'll carry with you for a lifetime. Thanks to its "anything goes" attitude, Vegas has become synonymous with milestone celebrations like birthdays, and even quickie weddings, and of course bachelor(ette) parties. About a year ago, I celebrated my own bachelorette here - and this is my exact itinerary!
For context, I didn't originally think of myself as the typical wild child bride that would choose Vegas, and this itinerary definitely reflects that. I'm not a big nightclub person. I didn’t want 24/7 debauchery; I wanted some balance, some time to actually hang out with my bridesmaids. In fact, I was originally picturing parking myself at a swim-up bar in Mexico or the Caribbean, but the remnants of COVID restrictions complicated things. I started looking at stateside options, and Vegas pleasantly surprised me that I could find a good balance in Sin City.
Keep reading to check out exactly what we did each day.
Viva Las Vegas!

Yosemite National Park is my favorite national park of all time and one of the most iconic parks in the world. Yosemite is known for the famous Tunnel View, Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. And don't get me wrong, those places are amazing, but there is SO much more to this park that often gets overlooked. Don't do what everyone else is doing — travel to parts of the park that are less explored!
I've been to Yosemite 10+ times and this guide holds map pins and information for all of my favorite hikes, camp spots, hotels, and best places to explore in Yosemite. Use it to craft one big trip, or multiple small trips and choose your own adventure! I've included both the iconic places you have to see (especially if it is your first visit to Yosemite) and also the less touristy spots that you don't want to miss.
Things that are covered:
- Entrances and details around which entrance to use
- Where to stay (hotels, campgrounds, and surrounding town information)
- Hike recommendations
- Things to see
This is a living map, meaning that every time I return to Yosemite and do something new (which is often), I'll add to it, and you'll get all of the updates automatically!
If you find this information helpful, any tips are appreciated for my work.

Ever contemplated a new method of travel? A way to break up all of the traffic-filled roadtrips or miserable treks to the airport, only to wait 2-3 hours for a flight? Fed up with the same old highway views (or lack of views from the plane)?
If so, this guide is for you! From the very first time I boarded an Amtrak Long Distance (LD) train in 2016 in Oakland, CA, I was immediately overcome with excitement, which quickly morphed into a passion. I have yet to go on a trip and not catch myself in a trance staring out the window on multiple occasions, failing to read/watch all of the books/shows I thought I would need or having a deep conversation with a complete stranger in the observation car. These experiences are the reason why I write this guide, to share and hopefully inform prospective travelers.
If you are not familiar with Amtrak’s LD services, fear not! I intend to offer as much information about the train options, destinations, schedules and anything else I can think of to lead your potential adventure. If for some reason, I don’t cover something, feel free to reach out!
This is just part one of a three-part guide and will cover the intro as well as the first five long-distance trains (numerically). Be sure to check out the other two sections, the individual more in-depth route guides, as well as 20 Questions for an Amtrak LD First Timer (all coming soon!).

Diving with sharks, visiting famous historical landmarks, and trying every shaved ice you can find... sounds like the quintessential trip to the islands of Hawaii, and we will show you just how to do it in only 4 days!
This itinerary covers the island of Oahu, HI and is perfect for anyone who is looking for more of adventurous trip than a relaxing vacation (though we definitely did lounge on the beach some.... because how can you not!)
This was one of my first big trips with my boyfriend, and we did not have a ton of extra funds to spare at the time. We wanted to do something epic together for our one year anniversary, so we booked a Hawaiian escape for 4 short but very sweet days! We were even face to face with a tiger shark named Roxie (sans cage) at 7 AM on the day of our one year anniversary, so I would say we accomplished our goal of an epic first trip, and I am so excited to share exactly what we did in our few days there.
Save yourself the time of researching it all and planning everything alone! This guide is perfect for on-the-go couples, friends, or groups looking to really experience all that this little island has to offer beyond just the beaches and city.
Included:
🏖Beach recommendations
🍳Restaurant recommendations
🏨Hotel suggestions
🍨Shave ice shops

I had the pleasure of taking a trip with the best gals of BabesThatWander for St. Paddy's Day. It might have been the most fun I've ever had on St. Paddy's, but Hot Springs would be fun anytime of year.

Seeing all of the lighthouses we could find was the focus of this trip, but we found so much more along the way. Flying into Boston, Massachusetts we made our way along the coast all the way to Portland, Maine.
We stayed five nights and six days exploring all of the nooks and crannies we encountered. Lighthouses were definitely found and loved, but excitedly so was a fort built in the 1600's, a local bar with ties to a tragedy as well as part of a movie, a fabulously, politically incorrect tour, and even stayed in a witch's house. You will find all of these in this guide and so much more. Lighthouses, restaurants, tours, and oh my gosh, the best donuts you will find anywhere. This was an incredibly fun trip.
I also include many of the photos I took at each place.
