I grew up in Boulder, CO, and love the outdoors. While I have spent the majority of my adult life abroad, I have recently returned to Colorado. Every week I venture out to new hiking locations near Boulder, CO, and up in the mountains to get to know my home state.
In this guide, I want to offer you detailed information about the best hikes near Boulder, CO, from a local. I will provide detailed information about trailhead locations, the difficulty of the hike, where to stay around Boulder, and where to eat/drink after you finish your hike, etc. This is a comprehensive guide to all things hiking (and apres-hike) near Boulder, CO.
This guide has 14 hiking locations, 11 of which are in/around Boulder, and 3 are locations just outside of Boulder a bit (Morrison, Nederland, and Idaho Springs).
Many of the hikes are linked to additional information in my blog, as well as reels on Instagram, and additional voice notes.

Autumn in Colorado is all about hunting those vibrant golden sparkles of Aspen leaves that cover the mountain meadows and hillsides. This guide gives you everything you need for a magical weekend getaway in/around Breckenridge, Co, filled with stunning scenery, crisp fall air, and some of the most luscious spots for viewing fall colors.
Expect colors to peak in Breckenridge Sept 15-Oct 5 (ish), but you will still catch some magic if you visit up to a week outside these days.

Breckenridge, Colorado, is a small former mining community turned world class ski destination. The downtown is adorable and walkable, filled with restaurants, shops, and scenic views galore. Visiting during fall means all the fun with smaller crowds than winter.
Inside you'll find suggested itineraries for two days of fun, that include:
-Lodging options
-Restaurant options with fall-forward vibes (think Oktoberfest beers, seasonal menus, smokey flavors, & scenic views)
-Best hikes for viewing foliage, all in the easy-moderate range of difficulty
-Suggestions for scenic leaf-peeping drives
-Suggestions for epic sunset-viewing spots
The best part is that ALL of these spots are vetted and dog-friendly, meaning you never have to make arrangements for leaving your doggo behind if you don't want to.
This is a living guide, and will be updated as more information is learned. This is a living guide. As I discover more, I'll add more. You only have to unlock it once, and you'll get all future updates.

This is a one-day food guide through two beautiful cities in Croatia: Split and Zadar. I myself am not croatian, however I´ve visited Croatia a few times with my partner who is Croatian and it´s easy to say that the more I visit the country the more I fall in love with it. Which truthfully comes from someone (me, myself and I) who felt like the country didnt have any good food and who also experienced a cultural shock when I first visited Croatia, leaving me to dislike the people there. However my outlook on the people and the food has completely changed. I hope to recommend some nice eating spots, tips on traveling to Croatia in general including a few little nice stories.

The town of Cala Gonone is a gem right at the heart of the Gulf of Orosei, known for its stunning coastline and marvelous, wild beaches. The most famous ones are accessible only by boat or dinghy, services that should be booked early in advance due to the high demand. ⚓️🌊
But what if you are looking for a more spontaneous solution, where you can just walk or drive for a few minutes and enjoy the cristal-clear Sardinian sea and beaches for free? 🏖🏃🏻♀️🚘
With this free map I would like to help you with my best recommendations as a local person to discover the beaches in Cala Gonone, for which you do not need a boat or dinghy to get to. For each spot, you will find detailed notes, pics and videos that I took! 📸🌅
A little tip: as we are located in the Eastern coast of the island, you can admire the dawn on the sea early in the morning! 🌅
⚠️ You won't always find: public transport, toilets / showes, trash bins, and beach loungers / sun umbrellas. Bars and food trucks are normally located outside of the beaches. There are no taxi services (Uber, Bolt, yellow cabs...) in Cala Gonone and Dorgali.
Don't forget to save this map 💾 to enjoy your adventures in Sardinia!

I went to Kauai with my mom and sister for Mother's Day for a 4 day trip. I highly recommend renting a vehicle so you can see all the beautiful scenery Kauai has to offer. We drove through a tunnel of trees, overlooked the Waimea Canyon, and got to see a picturesque view (main photo) of several waterfalls in the distance. I've highlighted only some of what we saw and did, but hopefully this will make you want to visit Kauai!
Below is our itinerary for the trip (3pgs.) along with a map of where we went. To view each picture, right click and select "Open Image in New Tab."

The elevation changes in Lisbon provide drama. On foot, you can see streets intersecting at all sorts of odd angles. Get to the top of one of the city's seven hills and you will find sweeping views. The problem is that everybody else is trying to take-in those same vistas.
The Portuguese have a word, Miradouro, which means viewpoint. I have no doubt you will find Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara or Miradouro da Graça and all the other famous viewpoints. This list is for some out-of-the-way, less obvious locations that provide great views with fewer people around.
I hesitate to call these undiscovered or unknown views in Lisbon. They exist ergo they are known. Let's call them unconventional. These spots are rarely in the guide books and aren't part of the Instagram algorithm yet. I want to share these spots, most of which I found by accident, because they are slyly spectacular.
