Gram Cafe & Pancakes The Galeries
@ethanmoy
One of the best (and only!) places in Sydney to get the soft, thick, fluffy Japanese-style pancakes. Also, the cafe atmosphere is perfect for Instagram pics! Warning -- they close early, 6pm last I checked.

Gumshara
@ethanmoy
Probably some of the best tonkotsu ramen I've had outside of Japan. The broth is super thick and creamy, but there's options to add clearer soup to fit your taste. The queue can get long, but it's worth it! Alternatively, come during off-peak hours, and there won't be anyone waiting.

Ryo's Noodles
@ethanmoy
Another hidden ramen shop that's quite far off the train lines. Again, the tonkotsu ramen is really good here, and the broth is lighter than Gumshara (previous place) if that's your preference!

Ramen Zundo
@ethanmoy
Another solid place in World Square with tsukemen (ramen with dipping broth) and yuzu (cirtusy) soup bases, along with traditional ramens.

Nakano Darling
@ethanmoy
Some of the best izakaya (pub-style) food I've had outside of Japan! Most importantly, they're in a great location and open late.

LeTAO Sydney
@ethanmoy
A Sydney location of the famous Japanese bakery. Come here for Japanese cheesecakes, but it's very (very) expensive, and this is a cheap eats list, so I'd come here just for pics. If you're in the mood though, the taste is worth it once.

Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake Sydney
@ethanmoy
There's many locations around the world, but it's just as good here. The Japanese cheesecakes are light, fluffy, and not too cheesy. The tarts are also quite good. You can't go wrong with any flavour, but I like to just stick to the original cheesecake. Definitely call ahead to make sure they still have your flavour!
Also, they have creme brulee crepes, but those are on the sweet side and have odd opening hours -- call ahead or check the storefront if you're interested.

Uncle Tee's Crepes Newtown
@ethanmoy
The classic spot for Japanese crepes in Sydney. A bit on the sweet side, but still worth it if you're in the area.

Sweet Town on George Street
@ethanmoy
An alternative Japanese crepe shop. They sell a bunch of other snacks, and there are a lot of options to fit your crepe to your taste. My personal favourite: crepe with whatever fruit I'm feeling, plus whipped cream and yuzu for a tangy and mildly sweet taste.
