Are you considering Iceland as your next destination? Do you need a little extra motivation to actually book that flight? Though motivation comes in many forms, a great hotel can easily tip the scales. Here are 14 hotels around the country--from Reykjavík to a remote island to the far north--to help you envision your trip. You'll be ready to search for active volcanoes, gushing geysers, massive glaciers, the northern lights, thermal hot springs, and thundering waterfalls in no time.
Note: I travel to Iceland frequently, so this map will be updated.

Milan is often considered the capital of Fashion and Made in Italy, and most of the time tourists do not focus on visiting the whole cultural and artistic heritage that my beautiful hometown offers.
It also has to say that, compared to Rome, Milan's treasures are more hidden and even those who are born here often don't know all the beautiful secrets that this incredible city offers.
Beyond culture and art, many years ago, I had the privilege to research the legends and lores of this ancient city, to create a guided tour for an event that summoned many healers and therapists.
The tour can take from around 4 hours, depending on how much time you decide to spend in any location.
You can also decide to split the tour in two days.

Breckenridge, Colorado, is a small former mining community turned world class ski destination. The downtown is adorable and walkable, filled with restaurants, shops, and scenic views galore. Visiting during fall means all the fun with smaller crowds than winter.
Inside you'll find suggested itineraries for two days of fun, that include:
-Lodging options
-Restaurant options with fall-forward vibes (think Oktoberfest beers, seasonal menus, smokey flavors, & scenic views)
-Best hikes for viewing foliage, all in the easy-moderate range of difficulty
-Suggestions for scenic leaf-peeping drives
-Suggestions for epic sunset-viewing spots
The best part is that ALL of these spots are vetted and dog-friendly, meaning you never have to make arrangements for leaving your doggo behind if you don't want to.

Maybe you don't like the taste of alcohol, have stopped drinking for medical reasons, or are on a sober journey. No matter the reason I know how tricky it can be to find good zero-proof options that aren't just pop or sparkling water (like honestly, those shouldn't even count). You deserve yummy drinks too so you are in the right place.
While zero-proof is becoming more popular (YAY) it isn't as common as it should be. So, I have put together a list of places that I have been to (and enjoyed) that clearly list their options out, or I know have options because I have asked (but come on places just list them out already).
This map is ever growing and I will add to it as I try more places that I would recommend.
Ps. the food is pretty good at most these places too.

Even though you’re in wine country, sometimes you just need a beer, a tasty craft beer (birra artigianale), after a long day of sightseeing.
I’m here to help!
I’ve put together a list of bars, bottle shops, and restaurants known for their craft beer selection, 10 in the Florence/Siena/Arezzo/Montepulciano area and 1 out at the beach for fun 🤩. Some are attached to breweries, some are not. All are good.
Remember drinking and driving is bad. Have a designated driver or hire a car service.

Old Abu Dhabi: 11 best spots to uncover the history of the capital
Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, is a place where modern marvels and rich history coexist. With its gleaming skyscrapers, luxury malls, cultural treasures, and sun-drenched beaches, it’s easy to be dazzled by the present. But beneath this glamorous surface lies a story of transformation that has shaped the emirate into what it is today.
Imagine this: over 100,000 years ago, early settlers made their home here, leaving behind traces of their ancient existence. Fast forward to 1761, when the Bani Yas tribe stumbled upon fresh water on what was then a remote island—Abu Dhabi. This discovery wasn’t just a stroke of luck; it was the beginning of a thriving civilization, built on the foundations of pearl diving and fishing.
The Al Nahyan family, descendants of the Bani Yas tribe, charted an incredible journey from the Liwa Oasis to the historic Qasr Al Hosn in 1793, establishing their rule and laying the groundwork for the future.
As the centuries passed, the landscape of Abu Dhabi changed dramatically, especially with the advent of the oil and gas industry. In 1958, the discovery of oil beneath the Gulf’s pearling beds marked a turning point, leading to the first-ever crude oil export in 1962 and sparking the transformation of the emirate.
The year 1971 was another defining moment. Under the visionary leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi played a pivotal role in the formation of the United Arab Emirates, setting the stage for the modern, dynamic city we know today.
For those curious to explore Abu Dhabi’s rich past, these historical sites and experiences are your gateway to the stories that shaped this remarkable city.

Puerto Rico is La Isla del Encanto (The Island of Enchantment) but due to colonization and multiple natural disasters the lives of Puerto Ricans have suffered multiple challenges. It was important for me when creating this itinerary to highlight ways for visitors to the island to support those who were born and raised and love their island.

Oban, Scotland is the beginning of the journey to the Inner Hebridean which includes the Isle of Mull, Iona, and many other small islands. My family and I had decided to rent a car and drive from Edinburgh. It is definitely intense to drive on the wrong side. But, you get used to it after a day or so. Otherwise, to get to Oban, you can take a train from Edinburgh.
Oban is a small city with a cute main street filled with restaurants and touristy shops. Even though we had a car, we decided to use a ferry/bus tour. You will want to book a ferry/bus tour to the Isle of Mull, Iona, and Staffa. Be prepared for rain, rain, and more rain. We went at the end of June and it was a miserable, rainy, cold day. But enjoy the beauty of the landscape and the history of the people.

The elevation changes in Lisbon provide drama. On foot, you can see streets intersecting at all sorts of odd angles. Get to the top of one of the city's seven hills and you will find sweeping views. The problem is that everybody else is trying to take-in those same vistas.
The Portuguese have a word, Miradouro, which means viewpoint. I have no doubt you will find Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara or Miradouro da Graça and all the other famous viewpoints. This list is for some out-of-the-way, less obvious locations that provide great views with fewer people around.
I hesitate to call these undiscovered or unknown views in Lisbon. They exist ergo they are known. Let's call them unconventional. These spots are rarely in the guide books and aren't part of the Instagram algorithm yet. I want to share these spots, most of which I found by accident, because they are slyly spectacular.

When you think of Parisian cuisine, you probably picture something along the lines of baguettes, escargot, & cheese. As someone who is vegan, I thought my options would be somewhat limited there but BOY was I wrong. Not only did Paris have an abundance of fully vegan restaurants and bakeries, but it actually has several of my favorite vegan restaurants of all time. I have now been to Paris four times and tried many vegan places, but the ones listed below are my absolute favorites.

It's impossible not to have seen this film at least once in your life!
If you are a musical lover or simply curious about the 70s and 80s, you must admire the music of ABBA and the musical "Mamma Mia!". After the great cinematic success, there was a real tourist boom, called "the Mamma Mia effect" where everyone wondered where the beautiful island where the musical was filmed was located.
If as summer approaches you are wondering where the beautiful island of Kalokairi is located with its famous Villa Donna hotel, don't bother looking for it among the thousands of islands of the Hellenic archipelago because it simply doesn't exist, its name (which among other things it means “summer”) is a cinematic invention.
The whole story is set in Greece, but in three different locations, chosen after a careful inspection of islands, gulfs, towns and ports: the islands of Skopelos and Skiathos in the Sporades and the village of Damouhari, on the Pelion peninsula.
Are you ready to find out where they are? (Continue reading if you want to discover all the locations of the musical)
