Olympic Stadium
The Helsinki Olympic Stadium is the largest stadium in the country, nowadays mainly used for hosting sports events and big concerts. It is also the home stadium of the Finland national football team.
The stadium is best known for being the centre of activities in the 1952 Summer Olympics.
At 72 metres from the ground, the Tower of the Olympic Stadium is one of the best place to admire Helsinki from high above.
The Tower is open for visitors almost every day. Remember to check other activities too, such as Sports Museum Tahto.
Hotel Torni
Hotel Torni is a historical hotel located in Kamppi. When opened in 1931, it became the tallest building in Finland.
There are several restaurants including Ateljee Bar, 70 meters up and top of the tower with panoramic views over downtown Helsinki.
On the 12th floor you can enjoy breakfast in the morning or drinks at night. Take the spiral stairs to the 13th floor where you can find rooftop terraces and a small bar.
And just to remind you, also the toilets of Ateljee Bar have the best views over the city...
Kallio Church
Kallio Church is a Lutheran church in the Kallio district. It was designed by Lars Sonck and represents National Romanticism with Art Nouveau influences.
In the spring of 2024 the church tower will be opened for visitors. The parish is still planning the details of the visits. It's likely that they will take visitors up to the tower in small groups and there will be a small fee. Stay tuned for details!
Linnunlaulu Bridge
A bridge crossing from Linnunlaulu wooden villa area to Tokoinranta. The view to the city is perhaps on it's best at dusk or dawn.
The bridge is also popular among train enthusiasts while it's crossing the railway tracks to and from Helsinki main railway station.
From here you can see also modern Pasila buildings such as the Mall of Tripla.
Clarion Hotel Helsinki

Restaurant 10. kerros
The classic 10th floor restaurant is operating on the roof of Hotel Vaakuna.
The hotel-restaurant is a masterpiece of the functionalist style with its curved shapes and wood architecture.
The views from the large windows open up on Mannerheimintie and Lasipalatsi. The terrace view covers also the Railway Station, the busiest area of the city.
The restaurant serves breakfast for Hotel Vaakuna's guests, but the breakfast is also open for other than those staying at the hotel.

Verkkokauppa.com is a huge electronics and IT store located in Jätkäsaari.
Here's a little-known secret even for many locals: the building has a sightseeing terrace with a MiG-21BIS fighter. Yes, there is a full-sized fighter jet on that roof!
Haukilahti Water Tower
Okay, the last one is not in Helsinki but I have to mention it!
The Haukilahti water tower is the landmark of southern Espoo. The futuristic appearance of the building was inspired by the animated series The Jetsons. The upper part of the tower resembles a flying saucer. It has also been compared to the Space Needle in Seattle.
The top part of the water tower houses a restaurant called Haikaranpesä, "Stork's nest".
From the restaurant you can see the southern Espoo with a 360 degree view. Table reservation to the restaurant is recommended.
