Does this small Greek island in the Aegean sea is worth visiting? Definitely yes.

Imagine beautiful sandy beaches, warm turquoise water, vibrant marine discoveries, a lively local town and delicious Mayan / Spanish / Caribbean influenced food. An island that is said to be the inspiration for Madonna's song 'La Isla Bonita'.
This is Ambergris Caye, the largest island in Belize, northeast of the mainland and surrounded by the beautiful Caribbean sea.
We recently spent a weekend in Ambergris Caye and here are my tips and recommendations to make the most of your visit. In this guide I have included:
- A 3 day itinerary, with recommended experiences
- Suggestions for more activities if you are staying for longer
- Hotel recommendations

Tórshavn is the largest city in the Faroe Islands. That doesn’t mean it’s big! It’s actually one of the smallest capitals in the world. Plus it’s utterly charming. The city on the southeast coast of Streymoy was founded by the Vikings and named after Thor (the Norse god). It’s still filled with turf-roofed houses, a sea-facing cathedral, and a fort to guard against pirates. Tórshavn isn’t stuck in the past, though. Coffee shops, design boutiques, record stores, a hip brewery, and minimal restaurants keep popping up around the harbor. The Faroese capital is about to become everyone’s favorite little Nordic city.
This detailed guide includes:
Stay: hotels
Eat: cafés, coffee shops, restaurants
Drink: bars, craft beer
Shop: design boutiques, music
Do: churches, historic sites, sailing

Belizean cuisine is a delicious blend of Caribbean, Latin American, Mayan and African influences making it a truly wonderful experience for food lovers.
The ingredients are fresh and local, featuring seafood, tropical fruits, rice and beans, and coconut milk curries.
Staying on Ambergris Caye, we ate a lot of seafood. Fish, conch and lobster were freshly caught every day, so we indulged!
In this guide I have listed all the places we went to, with notes on
- our fav places where we would eat again
- what we ordered and my recommendations of where to order the best dishes, including lobster
- local recommendations
- couple of dessert places (including one we went to twice!)
- the vibes of the place

The branded ' Maldives of Europe' - The Albanian Riviera
Looking for Maldives or Caribbean blue seas minus the large price tag? Then Ksamil is the place for you!
This place will become more popular in the next while, which will mean the area becoming more busy and possibly an increase in the prices - so I do recommend to visit before this happens.

Churchill is located on Hudson Bay, at the mouth of the Churchill River and on the edge of the Arctic Circle. To say Churchill is remote is an understatement. There are no
roads in, so your only way to arrive is either by air or a two
day (one way) train ride.
Churchill is known as the Polar Bear capital of the world, and is the location of the annual Beluga whale migration. Each of these has a very short season of viewing. Polar Bears can typically be found in October and November, but can vary slightly (I was lucky enough to encounter 3 in July). Beluga season is mid July to mid August. It is also one of the premier places in the world to see the Aurora Borealis, more commonly known as the Northern Lights. The best time for the AB is late Fall, Winter, and early Spring.
I went at the end of July and stayed for 4 nights and 5 days for the Beluga whale migration and it was worth every single penny it cost. Make no mistake, this is not an inexpensive trip due to Churchill's location. Everything has to be either flown, or railed in, so their costs reflect that. There is only one commercial airline that flies there from Winnipeg. But again, it was totally worth it and I can only describe sharing the waters with the Belugas as a magical experience. I will be back.
This guide contains a complete list of my exciting journey--to include accompanying photos I took. Even with Churchill being very small (only about 800 full time residents) there is much to see and do.
I also include many of the photos I took at each place.

Wait until you see Greece. Talk about blue! From the deep blue of the Adriatic Sea, the domes of Oia in Santorini, and the simplistic colouring through each village. Not to mention their proud blue and white flag donned on many of it's buildings.
The rich cultural history of Greece is displayed in it's cobble stoned streets, magnificent ancient Greek architecture and its mouth watering cuisine.
