Margaret River is a WA favourite with hidden gems and gorgeous beaches. From stunning underground caves and glittering waters, to award-winning wineries and silky-smooth chocolate.
It is a sensational place to go all-year round and one that that I've travelled to countless of times before. My personal favourite is visiting in the comfort of winter-rain and knitted cardigans. 🌧️

The hard yards (a great deal of effort or hard work - Australian slang) have been done with this guide I have spent time curating the perfect list of my go-to and want-to for the next trip (I visit Turin monthly at least) So the guide below has plenty of choices if you visiting Turin for more than a day or two. It includes:
- 20 bars (the map indicates the neighbourhood and I have written something about each one to help you along your way
I find Turin irresistible, and a big reason for that is its amazing bar culture and history. It feels like every corner has a bar that beckons, tempting me with the prospect of a cheeky Vermouth or Turino Milano. This guide leans into the local favourites, with a dash of the classics that still hold a special place in the hearts of the city's residents. Another big thing is Turin is red wine (Barolo, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo) so wine bars also show up in this Free Guide. If you like this and want a more in-depth guide for Turin consider my Turin guide as your personal tour guide:)

Raw. Remote. Untamed. Tasmania is just waiting to be discovered. Clean air. Dense rainforests. Deserted beaches. Dramatic sea cliffs. Fascinating wildlife. Glacial valleys. Gorgeous national parks. Hidden caves. Deep lakes. Multi-day hikes. Rugged islands. Wild rivers. Windswept coastlines. Are you curious yet? Add emerging cities, award-winning wineries, straight-from-the-ocean seafood, and gorgeous lodges. Australia's smallest and least-populated state is starting to command attention. It's about time. The island is beautiful. Historic Hobart is now luring artists and foodies. While road trips move through diverse landscapes within relatively short distances. Tassie is not an accidental destination. But those who make the long journey will feel both at home and surprised at every turn.
The Tasmania Guide focuses on Hobart, wine country, and three national parks.
This detailed guide includes:
Places: regions, cities, neighborhoods, towns, peninsulas
Stay: hotels

Croatian sweets are undeniably delightful, offering a diverse range of flavours to satisfy any craving. From the comforting allure of apple cakes to the indulgent richness of cream-filled strudels and pancakes, there's something for every palate.
One notable confection is the Madjarica, affectionately known as the "Hungarian girl" cake, featuring layers of chocolate and cream—a treat reserved for special celebrations. For those with a penchant for cheesecakes, Croatian versions made with cottage cheese offer a delightful balance of sweetness, often accompanied by a generous serving of fresh berries.
A controversial yet beloved classic is the Čupavci, reminiscent of Australian lamingtons but with a distinct Croatian twist. Rožata, Croatia's take on custard or flan, delights with its smooth texture and subtle sweetness. Meanwhile, Kremsnita captivates with its creamy custard and delicate, flaky crust, a favourite among locals and visitors alike.
For those craving a fruity indulgence, Breskvice cookies present a delightful surprise, resembling peaches both in appearance and taste, with a hint of rum-infused peach jam. Additionally, the Medjimurska Gibanica layer cake and Salenjaci pastry offer unique flavours and textures, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Croatia and neighbouring regions.
In the realm of coffee, Zagreb offers a blend of traditional and contemporary roasting styles. While lighter roasts may be less common, roasters like Cogtio and Quahwa take their craft seriously, offering a robust selection of carefully roasted beans. Exploring the city's diverse café scene reveals hidden gems, with some establishments doubling as roasteries, ensuring a fresh and flavorful coffee experience. Whether you're strolling through the neighbourhood or cycling to your next destination, Zagreb's café culture invites you to savour the moment and indulge in the city's sweet offerings.

A walking tour of Pubs in the historic Rocks district of Sydney, the birth place of modern Australia. Nestled in the shadows of the Sydney Harbour bridge, you'll find some of the most historic and lively pubs in the city.
Somewhere to eat
All the pubs in this guide offer food ranging from steaks, fish and chips, burgers, pizzas etc. Check out the menus on their websites. If you'd like to eat somewhere else, I've added a few suggestions at the end of the guide.
Getting there
The Rocks is on the western side of Circular quay on Sydney Harbour. It's a short walk from many of the major hotels and right behind the main cruise ship terminal. If traveling via public transport, it's next to the Circular Quay Train Station (T2, T3, T8 lines), the Circular Quay Light Rail Station (L2, L3 lines) and the Circular Quay ferry wharfs.

Hobart (nipaluna) is the capital and largest city of Tasmania. It's also Australia's southernmost state capital. The city sits at the base of Mount Wellington (kunanyi) and on an estuary of the River Derwent along the island's southeast coast. It's home to about half a million people (that's 40% of the total population). This land was occupied by the Aboriginal Tasmanians before the British founded a penal colony 1804. Whalers, miners, farmers, and, eventually, Antarctic explorers, followed. Tourism has only recently begun to dominate the economy.
Hobart's historic waterfront has cobblestone streets and sandstone warehouses. They're now full of new hotels, exciting art galleries, and locally sourced markets. Battery Point has colonial cottages and cute cafés. The eery Convict Trail starts here. The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is just a quick ride up the River Derwent. Mount Wellington hikes offer a great lay of the land. Craft breweries and distilleries keep popping up inside the city; wineries lie just outside. While the restaurant scene is booming. Hobart is more than just a stopover. You should plan to spend at least a few days getting to know Tassie's capital.
