-THIS was a bucket list moment!!! -I´ve never seen dunes this BIG and MAJESTIC Stockyard Campsite is the starting point for the moderate 2km hike. At the first intersection of the walking track head left instead of towards the graveyard. The rest of the walk is well signposted.

1000 Steps (Kokoda Track Memorial Walk)

-walk up 1000 steps through lush rainforest to get rewarded with fantastic views at the top -also a great workout to do in pretty much untouched nature The Kokoda Track Campaign was a pivotal World War II battle fought in Papua New Guinea in 1942, where Australian forces defended against Japanese invaders across a rugged, mountainous trail. The campaign is celebrated for the bravery and endurance of the soldiers, and the Kokoda Track is now a symbol of their sacrifice and resilience.

-perfect if you are tired of the city and want to go for a walk in beautiful Aussie nature -you´ll see a lot of invasive rabbits, some kangaroos and maybe even a snake... -take the 86 tram from Melbourne and in an hour you´ll go from the city to authentic nature
