In this Slovenian Alps Itinerary, for 13-14 days You’ll travel through the most beautiful and epic landscapes of the Slovenian Alps, which will take Your breath away… Slovenia is a wonderful, yet still under-the-radar destination for travelers who enjoy spending time in nature, and love mountains and magnificent landscapes. I’m pretty sure the views will take your breath away. Alpine landscapes, mountains, and small alpine villages are the focus of this itinerary, with the main mode of transportation being a car or van to get to the best and most beautiful places. As a destination all about the Alps, this is a more affordable choice for budget travelers seeking the most beautiful views of the Alps and, of course, wanting to escape the big crowds in the Italian, Austrian, or Swiss Alps. The roads in Slovenia are great for road trips and are in decent condition. For toll roads, purchase a vignette and enjoy the trip. The roads to off-the-beaten-track locations are smaller, winding, and may not have a protective fence, so be cautious.

This spring i did a trip to Slovenia, on a budget without a car. I have decided to share my exact itinerary, as most guides in Slovenia include a road trip. This itinerary includes everything from arriving to Slovenia (by air or road), different accommodation options for each location, depending on your budget.
