The hard yards (a great deal of effort or hard work - Australian slang) have been done with this guide I have spent time curating the perfect list of my go-to and want-to for the next trip (I visited Lyon three times last year alone) best over 2-3 days but the guide has plenty more for an extra day or 2. It includes the following. - 18 Restaurants (high-end to local favourites) - 16 Bars and Cafes (frequented by locals) - 7 Musemes (worth the effort and time) - 4 Markets (antique but mostly food) - 5 Hotels (high-end to affordable) - 5 Speciality Stores not to miss Welcome to Lyon, a city that effortlessly blends rich gastronomic traditions with a vibrant modern spirit. Renowned as the gastronomic capital of France, Lyon captivates visitors with its diverse culinary scene, from high-end establishments to charming Bouchons offering traditional Lyonnaise delights. Beyond its culinary prowess, Lyon stands as a livable city, embracing fresh produce markets, impressive museums, and a welcoming atmosphere. Join me on a journey through Lyon's iconic streets, uncovering its hidden gems, diverse flavours, and the unique blend of historic charm and contemporary allure that makes it a standout destination in Europe. - I am moving:)

Out of all the places I adore in France, Nice and its surrounding areas truly has my heart. This is where I dream of retiring. You're still very much in France - BUT: The people are noticeably friendlier than in Paris (no shade to Parisians, I love them too), the weather is delightful, the beaches are gorgeous, and the food has a lighter, Mediterranean flair (as opposed to the heavy dairy-based recipes typical in much of France). If 6 days sounds like a lot to you, never fear: This itinerary uses Nice as a home base and includes many day-trip options. Guide includes: 📍 High Level Plan ✨ General Tips 🍅 7 Food & Drinks Not to Miss 🧼 7 Souvenir or Gift Ideas 🍴 10 restaurant/bar recs in Nice (5 cheaper, 3 mid-range, 2 higher end) 🗒️ 6-day Itinerary: 3 days in Nice (including arrival & departure days, and 1 full-day in Nice with two morning options & 2 afternoon options), and 3 days for half-day trips, full-day trips, or a free day* 🗺️ 7 additional options for your half or full-day trips from Nice or for your free day 💚 Pro Tips *I suggest 1 full-day trip, 1 day split between 2 half-day trips, and 1 day of free time. These do not overlap with the 7 additional options for half and full-day trips, You also get: ✍️ My personal notes for each recommendation 📍 An interactive map of all recommendations 🔓 Access to all future updates (I love Nice and keep going back) 🎞️ Linked videos (where applicable) that bring recommendations and advice to life 💙 If you love this guide, I would really appreciate it if you shared it with a friend, left a great review, or contributed a tip.

This guide covers everything you need to know about how to spend a quintessential 3-6 days in Bergen - a UNESCO World Heritage city! Famous for its Fjords, seafood, and reindeer sausage hot dogs, discover what this coastal Scandinavian gem has to offer! This itinerary & guide combo includes: General Info: 🇳🇴Basics 🌦️Weather 🧳Packing Tips 🏷️Bergen Card, and❓Is it worth it? 🌭Food to Try 🍺Alcohol 📝Game Plan of how to spend 3-6 full days Day by Day Itinerary 📍Days 0-6 ❌What to Skip (hint: this guide costs less than what you’ll save!) 🚗Day Trip Recs (8) Extra Food & Drink Recs ☕️Cafés (3) 🍽️Restaurants (10, including 3 from our local guide) 🍸Cocktail bars (2) 🏨Lodging Recs (3 different price points) 💰Trip Cost Breakdown Psst: I'm not Norweigan, nor do I live in Bergen. BUT, I scoured the internet, TikTok, Atlas Obscura, Viator, ChatGPT, brochures, etc. to thoroughly plan this trip, not to mention asked our local Fjord tour guide for his personal recs. I've done (nearly) everything suggested on this itinerary for Days 1-3. Days 4-6 are suggestions based on my research/time I wish I had! *Some day trip suggestions may require a car. 🌱I travel with sustainability in mind. Bergen (and Norway) is a super green destination! You can do electric, zero emissions Fjord cruises (see my tour rec!), there are electric city buses, most cars are electric, and there’s simple transport by tram from the airport into the city. Norway’s incredible nature is one of the main draws, with lots of low-carbon activities to do like hiking and kayaking. Plus, the beauty of the majestic Fjords will blow you away and remind you how incredible our planet is 💚 This trip was planned for a group of 4 friends (2 couples) traveling together, without a car. Our intentions were to explore Bergen and the surrounding areas, spend time visiting with each other, and not break the bank (while not foregoing iconic experiences).
