"One of the largest parks in Madrid, El Ritiro is a massive urban green area, with countless things to see. The massive statue of Alfonso XII sits right on a large lake, and it is possible to rent a small boat to spend some time in the water. My advise is to book the boat beforehand in order to avoid the long lines. Between the countless gardens and green areas, you can find the famous Palacio de Cristal or Crystal Palace, an art museum made of glass and one of the most famous sights in Madrid.
