Madrid is very well organized and hospitable and you will have a great time.
In this guide I will try to share the best places and unmissable spots I was able to see in my short stay in Madrid.
Photography is one of my passions so I want to share what are in my opinion some of the best photo spots I found in Madrid.

MOVING AROUND MADRID
If you are arriving to Madrid by plane, like I did, the airport is well connected to central Madrid through its public transportation network. The metro line number 8 connects all the airport terminals to the city. In alternative, the train station at terminal 4 (Aeropuerto T4) is connected to the city with its C1 and C10 trains. Buses, taxis and private shuttle services are always available as well.
WHAT TO SEE IN MADRID
DAY 1 - GRAN VIA AND PALACIO REAL
Calle Gran Vía
@SebaAnder
The Gran Via is the heart and soul of Madrid. You could easily spend the whole day walking up and down this street, shopping, eating all kinds of dishes and enjoying the bustling sights of the Spanish capital. The amazing architecture that surrounds the street from end to end alone is worth a look, even if you are not planning to shop or eat.
It is a must see and it is an experience worth living.

Plaza de España
@SebaAnder
One one end of the Gran Via, we find Plaza de España. It is a large square with fountains and monuments, the most important of them being the monument to Miguel de Cervantes. It offers a nice place where to sit down in the shade of its trees and escape the unforgiving Spanish sun.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sebastian
Hello,
my name is Sebastian and I am Italian.
Traveling and photography have always been two of my biggest passions and I have always loved bringing the two together. Sadly my traveling experience is not as rich as I wish it could be, but after I discovered Thatch, I decided to test myself and see if I can translate my traveling experiences into useful travel guides.
I hope at least one person will be able to get inspired or find my guides helpful!
