"Foodie take note: this is a fantastic spot where local cuisine is taken to new gastronomic heights. Sangsaka has won me over entirely, and I'm not alone—the restaurant is consistently packed, perhaps owing to its loyal clientele. While the menu isn't extensive, if you're a group of 4-6 people, you might just get the chance to sample everything it offers. Here are my top recommendations: pie tee Medan (shiitake tart with corn and jicama), Cumi Tangkap (crispy squid with pandan and curry leaves), Pangsit Laksa (lobster dumplings—still dreaming about these!), Bebek Dun (duck breast), and lastly, the Bakbao—a fired bao bread with toppings that are simply amazing! I personally suggest booking the only table near the kitchen, allowing you to express your love directly to the chef in real-time. It's worth noting that while this isn't considered the best table by the staff, the experience of being close to the kitchen adds a special touch to your visit."

"What I love is that Sangsaka’s menu is truly innovative and delicious. For foodies who have tasted the best of Indonesian cuisine, the food here will still spark curiosity and delight your tastebuds. The menu changes regularly though, so dishes I enjoyed during my first visit were sadly no longer available. If the Pangsit in Laksa sauce is still on the menu, don’t miss it! I do think it’s on the pricey side, my most expensive meal on this trip - nothing a real foodie wouldn’t shell out for but there are also many other good restos in Seminyak if that is a concern. ✨ Bonus point: made my reservation online with no deposit required, unlike another pretty well-known resto in Seminyak 🫢"
