🚉 Transportation
🚇 Tickets for Metro/Subway, Train, and Buses
→Use Suica (transportation card)
The cost changes depending on your destination, so you should know where you want to go exactly. Also, you'll need to buy a new ticket every time you transfer. To avoid these inconvenience, I recommend purchasing a card.
📲How to get it on your phone
・iPhone
Go to Wallet(app) → select ➕ at the top right → select Transit Card → add Suica (or any card shown down below)
You can charge your money from your apple pay or credit card
・Android
Go to Google wallet (app) → select “Payment”→Select “Payment method” E-money → Add Suica
(These cards are non refundable)
The difference between the 3 cards is the main area they are used in and all cards are accepted all over the country
ICOCA: Kansai (including Osaka and Kyoto)
PASMO and Suica: Kanto area (including Tokyo)
Physical cards are also available (You can get them from a ticket vending machines at the station)
You need to charge 2000 yen including 500 yen deposit when you get it.

🚃 Other tickets information
Japan Rail Pass
This pass only works for the JR line, not the metro or other lines. In big cities like Tokyo and Osaka, the JR line covers many stops but not everywhere. I'm guessing you'll need to use other lines too, so my suggestion is to either set up a Suica card on your phone or get a physical card at a station, like I mentioned before

⚠️Points to note when you get on/off a bus
Getting on/ off
Most buses allow boarding through the middle door and exiting from the front door.
How to pay
People with an IC card (Transportation card)
You can tap when boarding and also tap again at the machine located near the exit when disembarking.
Without an IC card
Please take a ticket near the entrance of the bus when boarding. Upon exiting, please pay the fare along with the ticket. Since most times only cash is accepted, it's advisable to have coins ready when boarding a bus.
