"Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto, Japan is a popular destination that offers many reasons to visit, including: Views The temple is located on a small mountain and offers panoramic views of the city, cherry blossoms, maple trees, and mountains. The temple's famous wooden stage, which juts out 13 meters above the hillside, is a must-see. Architecture The temple contains buildings from the 17th century, including a main hall that's a National Treasure and was built without nails. The temple also has other notable buildings, such as Jojuin, which was originally a priest's living quarters and is now known for its Moon Garden. Sacred sites Visitors can drink water from the Otowa no Taki waterfall for good luck, visit the Jishu Shrine for matchmaking, and explore the "womb of the bodhisattva" tunnel. Buddhist events The temple hosts regular Buddhist events and special viewings that help visitors understand the deity Kannon. Seasonal scenery The temple's landscape changes with the seasons, from cherry blossoms in spring to snow in winter. Some recommend visiting early in the morning to avoid crowds and take photos"
"The Kiyomizudera (Pure Water Temple) is one of the most beautiful and exciting Buddhist temples in all of Japan and is also one of the oldest in the city, so much so that it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its name is linked to its position: in fact the temple stands on the waters of the Otowa waterfall and it is thought that this water has particular "therapeutic properties" such as longevity, health and wisdom. The most beautiful seasons in which to see this temple are spring and autumn , thanks to its wonderful panorama dotted with cherry blossoms and maple trees. 👣How to get there: reachable on foot from Yasaka Sanctuary (1,3 km, 20min). Bus stop: Kiyomizumichi, 206 and 207 line. 🎟️Ticket cost: full price 400 yen (2,50€)-reduced price 200 yen (1,20€)."
"4/5 Great to go | Kiyomizu-dera is a magnificent temple in Kyoto that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city, surrounded by lush forest and traditional Japanese architecture. The temple's rich history, striking design, and serene atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for those seeking a truly immersive cultural experience in Japan. During Autumn, you can visit for the Autumn Illuminations"
