I like to share my experience and knowledge, so I put together a guide with all my favourite spots in Milan.
I listed and mapped out my favourite touristic attractions, museums, aperitivo places, breakfast places, cafes, Italian restaurants, foreign restaurants and gelaterie.
Specifically, you will find the following in this guide;
🏛 11 touristic attractions
🎨 6 museums
🥂 6 aperitivo places
🥐 5 breakfast places
☕️ 4 cafes

What could be better than to enjoy a cup of coffee in a cozy coffee shop or atmospheric cafe in one of the most elegant Italian cities - Milan?
The correct answer: for true lovers of coffee nothing could be better, or maybe just a company with whom you take this cup of coffee.
I live in Milan and I adore exploring nice places where you can slow the moment and enjoy the taste and aroma of flavored coffee sometimes even with some delicious desserts.
If you are also a fan of this philosophy, save this guide for your next trip to Milan!

For my first solo trip to Italy, I picked Milan for a few different reasons. During my trips, I focus on architecture, culture, and art. Milan's architecture and art are key attractions, with the city playing a significant role in Italy's architectural and artistic history. It has also been a birthplace for several modern art movements. Though few remnants of the Roman era remain, the well-preserved Colonne di San Lorenzo stands out. Milan's Cathedral, constructed between 1386 and 1877, is the largest church in Italy and the third largest in the world.
Milan is acknowledged as one of the world's top four fashion capitals. The city is home to the headquarters of several renowned luxury fashion brands. It also hosts major international events and exhibitions, including Milan Fashion Week.
It may not be the typical Italian little village, but insted it is a city filled with a long, beautiful history to be discovered. And in this itinerary, I will provide you with a step-by-step guide, highlighting the most important spots.

Let's say you're travelling in North of Italy more specifically in Lombardy and you want to take something special back home that has to tick these 3 boxes for you:
- be sustainable = ethical & eco-friendly or vintage
- locally produced that reminds you of the place you've been to
- unordinary = simply unique
Well you're in the right place! It's all in here!
You'll also find -what I call- some SOS stores which are general stores selling essential eco-friendly products that you might need during your travels like: face cream, deodorant, tooth brush & paste, solid shampoo & conditioner, menstrual cup etc...
And how can I not include some vegan & vegetarian cafes & restaurants to stop by while strolling around the Italian "viette".
So what are you waiting for? Plan your trip and keep this map with you while exploring your next destination!
