Hobart (nipaluna) is the capital and largest city of Tasmania. It's also Australia's southernmost state capital. The city sits at the base of Mount Wellington (kunanyi) and on an estuary of the River Derwent along the island's southeast coast. It's home to about half a million people (that's 40% of the total population). This land was occupied by the Aboriginal Tasmanians before the British founded a penal colony 1804. Whalers, miners, farmers, and, eventually, Antarctic explorers, followed. Tourism has only recently begun to dominate the economy.
Hobart's historic waterfront has cobblestone streets and sandstone warehouses. They're now full of new hotels, exciting art galleries, and locally sourced markets. Battery Point has colonial cottages and cute cafés. The eery Convict Trail starts here. The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is just a quick ride up the River Derwent. Mount Wellington hikes offer a great lay of the land. Craft breweries and distilleries keep popping up inside the city; wineries lie just outside. While the restaurant scene is booming. Hobart is more than just a stopover. You should plan to spend at least a few days getting to know Tassie's capital.
This detailed guide includes:

Drink: cocktail bars, distilleries
Shop: bookstores, local produce
Do: art museums, bridges, coves, cranes (really!), docks, gardens, memorials, parks, piers, rivers, sculptures, squares, stairs, trails, wharfs

I've been solo-traveling the globe for 10 years and enjoy finding lesser known places and spending time with locals. During my recent two-week stay in London, my local friends recommended to me some up-and-coming neighborhoods. I went and checked out the spots for myself! This guide takes you through the best options for cafés, pubs, nightlife, markets and leisurely strolls in the diverse areas of Hackney / Dalston.

Imagine beautiful sandy beaches, warm turquoise water, vibrant marine discoveries, a lively local town and delicious Mayan / Spanish / Caribbean influenced food. An island that is said to be the inspiration for Madonna's song 'La Isla Bonita'.
This is Ambergris Caye, the largest island in Belize, northeast of the mainland and surrounded by the beautiful Caribbean sea.
We recently spent a weekend in Ambergris Caye and here are my tips and recommendations to make the most of your visit. In this guide I have included:
- A 3 day itinerary, with recommended experiences
- Suggestions for more activities if you are staying for longer
- Hotel recommendations

This guide is for both Islands in New Zealand (the north and the south) for first time visitors who are taking their camper van throughout the islands with a few days in Auckland and Queenstown. It's a three week itinerary and includes the arrival and departure flight days (and has some suggestions for these days as well).
It will go through (in detail!) every location we visited, the activities we did, the sites we camped up at, the restaurants we ate at (in between our camper van meals), what we learned about New Zealand and the camper van life whilst we were there, and other suggestions of what to do in the areas so you can alter your plans to fit what you want.
Note that this itinerary includes two different camper van rental locations on each island, and flying between the two islands. But you could easily do the majority of this itinerary and just switch up a few days to drive between the two islands! This itinerary does have a decent amount of driving but its because we really wanted to PACK our itinerary to see as much of New Zealand and it's beautiful scenery whilst we were here.
The main locations touched on are listed here (and we highly recommend all of them):
-> Auckland (& Waiheke Island)
-> West Coast North Island (Black Sand Beaches / Mt Taranaki)
-> Tongariro Alpine Crossing
-> Coromandel Peninsula
-> Queenstown
-> Milford Sound
-> Wanaka (& Roys Peak)
-> Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park
-> Dunedin
-> The Catlins
If you're looking for a detailed guide that outlines your plan for each and every day, look no further!

Kauai is often a favorite of the Hawaiian islands, given its range in landscape, geography and activities. Outside of the capital of Līhue, there are four main regions - the East Side, the North Shore, the South Shore and the West Side.
This guide will include activities and recommendations for the East, North and South. While the regions are easy to travel between, we recommend staying on the island for at least one week to really explore them all.

In October 2022, my boyfriend and I took a roadtrip from George to Johannesburg to get his car back home. We thought we'd make the most of it and amble along the Garden Route for a few extra days. It was amazing, so I wanted to share some of it with you and add a few extra tidbits for those of you experiencing the places for the first time. It's recommended to go in spring or summer, but try to avoid holiday periods (December and January) as it can get super busy and sometimes pricey, unless you're going for a party haha. Enjoy!

After living in Nashville for over 2 years, I've seen the good and the bad, the touristy and non-touristy. Nashville has so many cool things to offer, and it's one of my favorite places I've ever lived. Here's how to do Nashville like someone who calls this city home (or at least, like me hehe)!
