Results for Rivera
We just came back from traveling in Albania and we visited so many amazing and unique areas. From the mountains, to the riviera, and the historical towns in between. We LOVED our time in Albania.
This guide will show you the wonderful places we stayed and LOVED as well as many beautiful spots we saw along the way that I would have also loved to have stayed in and would go back to someday.
This is the result of lots of research and thought put into these curated spots.
In the notes section of each I will list reasons why these places appealed to me and why I think they would be great stays or why I KNOW they were. I will indicate which places we stayed in ourselves as well.
Please feel free to reach out to me any time with any questions at planformedani@gmail.com or @planforme.dani on instagram.
Also know that if you book hotels through my recommendations I do receive a small commission at no cost what so ever to you! It could help me to keep finding and recommending these great spots!

Once described as a “Scruffy City” on the banks of the Tennessee River, Knoxville is far and away Tennessee’s most low key urban center. Situated just west of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the city holds space for a surprisingly diverse array of Appalachian voices andn perspectives and is quickly becoming a destination for makers, artists and musicians from around the world. If you get a chance to stop by or decide to make the pilgrimmage for the Big Ears festival post pandemic, check out a few of these foodie (and brewie?) staples to hold you down during your stay.

London is one of the most beautiful cities to walk around and explore. And funnily enough, a lot of the TOP attractions in London are relatively close to each other - you just need to really plan your itinerary!
And that is what I've done for you! I have personally done this walking tour over 6 times in 2 years. Whenever I had visitors, I found this was the perfect walking route to get people introduced to the city.
This walking tour will take you along the Thames River and into the city. You will come across:
🌉 5 important bridges
👑 5 historic landmarks
⛪️ 3 well-known churches
🌳 3 parks and squares
🛍️ 2 shopping areas
🤤 2 markets
🎨 1 museum
+ some food and restaurant recommendations!
And what's great is that it's customizable to your interest - you can stop at anything that particularly interests you!
It is also very easy to break this itinerary into smaller chunks if you feel like you want to spend a bit more time in a certain area or if you are a bit limited in time! It is completely up to you!
Fun Fact: this walking tour was how I spent my first day EVER in London and my flatmate and I re-did the tour right before we left to move back home! It's safe to say that is a personal favourite of mine!

Cuenca is my favorite city in Ecuador by far. The city feels very European — gorgeous colonial architecture, beautiful public spaces along the river to walk along, the city is clean, traffic is orderly, and you can even drink the tap water!
This guide includes my tips on:
- Arriving in Cuenca (Transportation)
- Sightseeing & shopping
- Best restaurants (including an affordable tasting menu you absolutely CANT miss!)
- Places to stay
- Daytrips
- Weekend trips
Many North Americans retire in Cuenca for the comfortable quality of life. It’s a great place to recharge your batteries if you need a break from bussing and adventuring.
Don’t forget to pack a jacket and a beanie! Even if the daytime is beautiful with sunny blue skies, temperatures often drop down to the 50s at night.
Keywords: South America, Ecuador, Andes, Backpacking, Cuenca

Beat the Tipping Point: Plan a Trip to Luang Prabang NOW (with these expert tips)
This guide includes where to eat and drink, where to stay, what to do, and where to work remotely in Luang Prabang, Laos — a sublime little city on the confluence of the mighty Mekong and Nam Khan rivers. Luang Prabang is a must-visit in your explorations of Southeast Asia. Orange robe-clad monks stroll the streets lined with historic French architecture. Welcome smiles, delicious cuisine, and ancient wats all await you at this UNESCO world heritage destination. With thoughtful new investment from savvy local business owners and French and Swiss expats who were stuck here (and fell in love) during Covid, the town is at a perfect inflection point of old and new. You can sit down to a bowl of soup on the sidewalk, dine at a 5-star hotel, and sip an IPA at a trendy cafe — all within a few blocks of each other. But hurry, Luang Prabang is not too far from the visitor tipping point.

Our number one recommendation for where to stay in Switzerland is Bern. Bern’s old town is set in the crook of the river Aare and is filled with beautiful medieval and gothic architecture. This historic city is easily accessible and walkable as most of the sites are available to visit any time of day. Bern’s proximity to neighboring towns also makes it easy to take day trips to popular towns like Lucerne and Interlaken.

*Outdoor Markets (6 recommendations)

Prague holds a special place in my heart as it was my first solo backpack trip. You can be 100% sure I planned this trip to perfection, as I was doing it alone for the first time.
The largest and capital city of both the Czech Republic and Bohemia historically is Prague. Prague, with its rich history and impressive examples of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture, is a major cultural, political, and economic centre of Central Europe. It served as the seat of various Holy Roman Emperors. The city was built next to the Vltava River, which provides stunning views. Prague is home to many well-known cultural landmarks, such as the Jewish Quarter, Petřín Hill, Vyšehrad, Old Town Square with the Prague Astronomical Clock, and Prague Castle. Prague's historic core has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1992.
All of the above and many more you can find in this 3-day intense trip plan, that will guide you through the most beautiful and interesting places in Prague. Be prepared to walk 20k+ steps per day!
