If you're looking for a city escape to live your European Summer dream, you've come to the right place! This is my 100% honest opinion of my 10 favorite European cities to visit in Summer. I see lots and lots of guides out there suggesting Paris (hello, has someone heard of the Olympic Games taking place?), Madrid (if you love 45° weather I guess) or Lisbon (great choice if you want to be 1 or 100 000 tourists). While these are all great destinations year-round, I don't think Summer is the right season to visit them. Personally, I'd go there in Spring or Autumn, not during the high season. Memories of Places with Beryl Willow April17 2023 to May 5 2023 Finally after 3 plus years,since the awful Covid epidemic we are exploring London for 5 days and travelling on the SEABORN OVATION embarking at the Dover cruise port. Dover to Europe on a 12 day cruise. Visiting cities in France, Spain and Belgium where we both have never been before.

Bruges is the most beautiful city in Belgium. The house that I grew up in is 15 minutes away from Bruges and that means that Bruges is the city I grew up in. I also worked in the tourist office, so it's safe to say that I know the place very well and I might be the perfect local guide to show you guys around.

All the places we visited on our 71 day road trip. The route went down from Calais on the west of France for a week including another week in the Pyrenees. The north of Spain and Basque region for around 2 weeks. Down through Portugal including Porto, Lisbon and the Algarve for around 4 weeks. A few spots in the south of Spain from the drive back home which took us 10 days. Finally finishing in Bruges, Belgium.
