First of all, why are we starting from Serbia?

The countryside, restaurants and communication in Serbia is much easier to navigate than in Montenegro. If you wish to fly into Podgorica, Montenegro you certainly can, but I just about guarantee you'll be depressed as soon as you land. Podgorica is definitely not high on any traveller's list if they've been there before. Not much to see or do and the restaurants leave a lot to be desired, so if nothing else, as a foodie, I cannot let you start there.

I promise I don't hate Podgorica, but I do feel strongly about the food culture being WAY better in Belgrade which is why I feel it is super important to include a day focused on what Belgrade has to offer. Check out my list of the 10 BEST restaurants in Belgrade below.
