Lille 🧀✨

Lille is located north of Paris right on the border with Belgium - and it just so happens to also be my current home for the past 2 years. In this guide, I have put together some of my favourite places to eat, some lovely day trips and some fun activities to do around the city! At the end of this guide, you can also find some logistical information to help you when planning and organizing your trip to Lille! Be sure to give it a save!

Other ideas:

What to do:

Do you need more information for your trip to Lille?

Airport:

-Aéroport de Lille

-There is no international airport in Lille - you will most likely land in Paris and take a train from there.

How to get around the city:

-Most of the tourist centre of Lille is walkable but there are also 2 metro and tram lines that take you around the city and to the outskirts. They are very easy to navigate and quick!

Getting to/from the airport:

-The only option you really have to get to the airport from Lille Centre is by shuttle bus which takes about 20 minutes.

-The shuttle brings you to Lille Flandres (one of the main train stations in Lille) in front of the CIC building. It costs 8 euros for a one-way ticket or 10 euros for a round-trip ticket, which I believe you pay directly with the driver.

-If you're flying into Paris: there are many trains that go directly from Charles de Gaulle airport straight to the centre of Lille within an hour. You can find tickets on Ouigo, Omio or Trainline!

Beyond London, I’ve road-tripped through Scotland twice, explored gems like York and Liverpool, road-tripped through Cornwall & enjoyed countless day trips, from charming villages to coastal towns.
