What traps for the unwary have I learned? - Visa, scrambling to find WiFi that works at the airport because I didn’t pay a fee to enter Argentina - Visa, having a typo on my birthdate and almost being denied enter - 6 month experiation period for passports - literally had an airline agent in a lounge tear up my boarding pass in front of me

Everyone knows how good the food is in Italy. Each region has its own typical dishes, all different and with a great history behind them. But now I'm talking about Puglia. Commonly referred to as the "heel" of Italy, the region of Puglia is probably the most stunning landscape in the country. Just think: hundreds of kilometers of Mediterranean coastline, groves upon groves of ancient olive trees, and whitewashed towns carved into the hills. It's also home to some of the most incredible seafood, pasta, and wine in the world, and the only thing better than the food of the region is the people who prepare it. Food in Puglia is not just "the dish" but a moment of conviviality, relaxation, happiness. Each dish has very specific origins that sometimes go back far. A full 3 day trip my wife and I did with two other couples, 6 people total. We walk most everywhere, about 10 miles a day. We traveled there in March 2020 (crazy story as the world shut down because of COVID while we were on our flight there) and April 2024. Greece, my favorite European country! The Peloponnese is by far my favorite part of Greece. It is less crowded and a lot cheaper than the famous islands. You can still find many authentic villages and incredible beaches. Visit the most relevant national archeological sites and breathtaking monasteries. It is a great region to go hiking and exploring the many waterfalls. We always rent a car and go on a road trip through the vineyards, olive and orange trees.
