When to go to Salento?
It goes without saying that Salento, thanks to its mild climate and its vast landscape and cultural offering, can be visited all year round. However, it depends on what you are looking for from your holiday.
If you want a relaxing holiday in Salento to enjoy the sea then choose summer (preferably June, July and September). But keep in mind that it is also the most popular period, for this reason, often, it is too chaotic, especially in August. The Salento sea in August is almost impassable for the many tourists and the facilities are more expensive, even if in this month there are various village festivals and festivals, as well as the famous Notte della Taranta festival.
If instead you want to visit the villages and art city you can do it all year round, perhaps with a preference for the spring (April-May) and autumn (October-November) seasons when the weather is mild and pleasant.
