Porto is my favorite city in Portugal (and quite possibly my favorite city in Europe). I've spent over 3 months here in the last two years, which has given me the unique opportunity to fully experience all Porto has to offer. But I also know what it's like to only have two or three days to try to see & do it all, and why I have created this guide for you. I've highlighted all the best spots, and added in some local favorites, to help you maximize your time in this incredibly vibrant city! Rather than have a rigid, scheduled checklist of places, I've tried to group locations together that would make sense if walking around the city. Here's my 3-day itinerary for a long weekend spent in the unique capital of Portugal, Lisbon. If you have an extra day I highly recommend a day at one of the many golden sand beaches along the Costa da Caparica, up to 40 minutes away by Uber. My top tip for your Lisbon city break: Uber and Bolt taxis are your best friend! If in a large group, these taxi services can be just as cheap as public transport and always arrive quickly. Bolt often offers discounts of up to 70% off your first ride if you have never used the app before, so save this for a longer and more expensive trip, say to the beach or to Sintra!
