Of course you can use this guide easily with Boulder as your home base, but everything we've included here is actually in the mountains. This area is a bit less traveled than areas in the I-70 corridor, and thus it's a bit more locals-oriented, with all the fun of the more touristy areas. Just an hour drive from downtown Denver, this area is not to be missed!
