Denver was my home for four years, and my favorite place that I have lived so far. I hope you enjoy exploring the food, drinks, and nature that it has to offer with this guide.
Every kind of traveler can enjoy the experiences that Denver and the surrounding areas have to offer, but where to stay and what to eat are the foundation of any good trip!
Take a look at the top 5 places to eat in Denver's RiNo, LoDo, Highlands and LoHi neighborhoods. In addition, ice cream is my love language. So, please enjoy a mini tour of the top ice cream spots in Denver. Finally, I have included a few dos and one don't of tourist activities at the end!

Looking to stretch your legs or get into the foothills? I've mapped out the top three parks for a walk in Denver, and three accessible, moderate, and difficult hikes within a 30-minute drive.
When embarking on an outdoor adventure, please take water, snacks, and layers of clothing, even if it is just to the park. A typical Colorado summer includes afternoon storms, so checking the weather of the place that you will be hiking, not just in the city, and planning to hike early is always a good idea!

Denver proudly boasts of an overwhelming 150 breweries in the city, but not all of the breweries are worth a visit. This guide will help you narrow down where to grab an afternoon beer, post up for the evening, or watch the sunrise (there is a specific bar for that). In addition, each location's happy hour and food options are noted with details about vegetarian options.
This guide includes:
▻ Bars (📍5 )
▻ Beer Gardens (📍5 )
▻ Big Breweries (📍5 )
▻ Dive Bars (📍5 )
▻ Microbreweries (📍5 )
Please note:
1. All of the locations listed are for chill and upbeat outings. If you are looking for a rowdy night out, one of these might serve as your first stop but not the main event.
2. I limited each section to 5 locations. However, there are definitely many great establishments that did not make the cut, especially in the "Bar" category. There is a huge variety of excellent bars in Denver. If you are looking for something specific, I would be happy to give you additional recommendations at a discounted consultation price.
3. The $ and $$ describe the average price of a drink, not the food.
