This walk is for those that love history, food, and culture, and the idea of taking your time to immerse yourself in one thing and doing it really well. Lafayette is a north-south street in Manhattan named after the Marquis de Lafayette, the French aristocrat and hero of the American Revolutionary War. It begins at the intersection of Reade and Centre Street and runs thru Chinatown, NoLIta, NoHo and ends near Astor Place.

This is a 1-day itinerary around Manhattan to make sure you visit as much places as possibile during the day, starting from south of Central park and heading south until reaching Brooklyn bridge 🌉.
It is perfect for you if you have a layover in New York or if it is the starting point of a longer trip.
BUT it could be very useful also as a general guide to split your visit to New York in 2-3 days, dedicating each day to a different part of the city 🏙.
We suggest you to explore the city on foot🚶🏻to really feel all those New York vibes, of course following our guide.
In 8-10 hours you should be able to visit all the places reported in the guide and have a nice lunch, but probably you won't be able to visit anything from the inside (that is a good excuse to come back to New York another time 😉).
So here it is: your full guide to experience New York in 1 day only... and believe us: it will be more than enough to fall in love with this stunning city! 🇺🇸

I love food & New York arguably has some of the best food in the world. This map holds all of my absolute favorite places to eat in the city. These are the places I frequent & always recommend to friends when they visit.
Most of these recommendations are in Manhattan, but there are a couple in other boroughs including the Bronx & Brooklyn. And as I said, more will come. The genre of these restaurants ranges from nicer to quick grab-and-go spots, with options for Mexican, Mediterranean, American, Malaysian, Cuban, Jamaican, Latin-inspired, & Italian food - plus a couple of food hall options & doughnuts!
This is a living map. By living, I mean that I will continue adding more places to this map when I come across them & you'll automatically get the updates!
It's truly a map of my favorite places to eat in the City, so if you've followed me for a while & just want to check out my favorite spots, this map is for you!

This is a map of some of my favorite Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, & Indian places in Flushing & Murray Hill. It does not include the places in my Flushing Food Crawl, but if you decide you want those afterward, you can purchase the Food Crawl guide for a discounted price from within this Guide.
People love going to K-town in Manhattan, but most Korean Americans that I know say that Flushing has the best K-town. It's less saturated but it's more authentic, with Korean churches, karaoke, and Korean grocery stores. It's actually a Korean community. Flushing is more known for its Chinese & Taiwanese influence, and Murray Hill is more known for its Korean influence.
Use this guide as a checklist for the best places to eat in Flushing/Murray Hill & use the interactive map function at the top right of the guide to find the place closest to you when you're looking to grab a delicious bite. When you save this map, all of these places will get saved to your main map, making it so that you can easily access all of my favorite Flushing eats!

🌳 New York’s largest urban park, spanning 843 acres is a lush oasis in the heart of Manhattan. It boasts historic landmarks, artificial lakes, waterfalls, meadows, and wooded areas.
Follow me on one of my favorite strolls through the southeastern corner of the park—from the Wien Walk to the iconic Boathouse. It’s a fun, densely packed, 30-minute walk covering 1.2 miles. Breezy!

I have a friend who LOVES books and records, so for her birthday, I created a list of easily walkable book and record stores in Lower Manhattan.
Each stop was less than ten minutes walk from the last, and the pace left us enough time to browse each store to our hearts' content. We ended the day with two dinner stops - Malay and Thai cuisines (why choose one when you can have both?!).

When you think of visiting Los Angeles beaches most people think of Santa Monica or Malibu, but those spots are so touristy and crowded they are NOT worth the hype!
Let me tell you about the best beaches near LA! Tucked away from the craziness of Los Angeles is the Southbay, which has iconic beaches that you really can’t miss! This guide tells you about our favorite spots in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach Redondo Beach, and Palos Verdes! These little beach cities are gorgeous, have tons to do, and have a much more laid back vibe, that you would expect from a beach city! I’ve lived in Southbay for 15 years now and it is home to me! So I hope you enjoy these tips from a local! Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is any other questions you have about the area that I didn’t cover!
If you find this information helpful, any tips are appreciated for my work.
