Fun in Midtown NYC

Fun in Midtown NYC

While there are tons of great neighborhoods in New York City, Midtown Manhattan is the central hub leading to Central Park, the theatre district, and hustle-and-bustle nightlife. Get an insider's view of the best Midtown has to offer, from hotels to restaurants, to parks and other activities. Here is my personal guide to fun in Midtown.

Midtown Basics

Midtown is generally said to extend from 34th Street to 59th Street and from 3rd Avenue to 8th Avenue. I like to extend that border into the southern part of Central Park because of its close proximity to this amazing modern oasis. Midtowners would agree.

Where to Stay

There are tons of hotels to choose from in Midtown. I personally prefer staying on the east side of Midtown, from Park Avenue to 2nd Avenue, because it is quieter and less busy.

If you are traveling with others and need two or more rooms (like I did when I traveled with my grown sons), I recommend this first hotel But these others in the list are also fabulous,

EVEN Hotel New York - Midtown East, an IHG Hotel
@nicoleradlow
I like to stay here, especially when I need more than 1 room, because it is affordable and in a great location. It's a boutique-style hotel with medium-sized, comfortable rooms but it has a nice veranda off the 2nd floor lobby to enjoy.
