Let me tell you, New Mexico is SO underrated. I took 6 months and traveled all over the state to experience as many hikes as possible. Who knew NM had beautiful pine trees, rivers, and yes, snowy peaks.
If you're looking for moderate to hard hikes, between 3 to 12 miles, some with a decent amount of elevation gain (900' to 2000'), take a look at this board.

Here is my ultimate guide to hiking the legal trails of Oahu. Now I've done my best to order these hikes from easiest to hardest considering elevation change, conditions, and climate. I say legal hikes because there are a good amount of illegal hikes on Oahu that have become very popular recently due to social media, but I only wish to recommend those that are open and maintained so that everyone using this resource can have a safe and amazing adventures while visiting this beautiful island. Beyond safety there is also the risk of large fines which will given to anyone caught hiking outside of public trails.
In my own opinion there are no easy trails or walking trails on island as almost all trails are about elevation gain. Don't get me wrong Oahu is an excellent place for hikers, but probably best for those that consider themselves experienced hikers or are at least consider themselves athletic. I say this also because the hot climate and loose ground on much of these hikes makes for added challenge. My parents for example are now both over 60 and I would not take them on most of the hikes on Oahu and I likewise would have the same feeling about bringing children.
A few important considerations when hiking on Oahu is to be mindful of preserving the trail and the environment. One rule of thumb is to stay on the trail, and I know that seems obvious but even stepping off the maintained trail a little bit or cutting corners on switch backs bear consequences; such as erosion and harm to plants and organisms that you may unknowingly step on. Another no brainer, but I still think the reminder is important, is to leave no trace. This means not leaving anything behind such as trash but also to not alter the natural environment like stacking rocks or messing with the foliage, beyond what is necessary to continue on the path. The opposite is also just as important, don't take anything with you from the environment like plants and rocks.
I will try my best to include as much necessary information for these hikes as I can but it is always smart to be as well informed as possible before hiking somewhere new, so do your own research if you can and be well prepared for the weather, distance, and difficulty of each hike. State rescue personal often respond to hikers in distress here on Oahu and I would hate for anyone using my guide to face any sort of distress when they are supposed to be making fun memories.
*I will be adding to this list as I do more hikes around the island*

Morocco in 7 days - Marrakech + self-drive route of the 1.000 Kasbahs + 2 hikes [epic guide]
This guide will save you many hours of trying to puzzle together an optimal itinerary for your first trip to Morocco in 7 days. I just came back and my planning efforts worked out so well I decided to write it all up. If you want to discover Morocco by yourself without going on organized trips, my guide won't disappoint you. It's perfectly doable and so much more fun!
I spent several days trying to puzzle together different combinations by measuring driving distances in google maps and so on, and I ended up with this perfect itinerary. When we got back, we couldn't believe how perfect our trip was.
Where to stay, best spot to rent a car, the best place to get a local SIM card, two breathtaking half-day hikes, how much to pay for food or souvenirs, ... it's all in here.
🚘🌴🥾 It’s perfect for those who want to self-drive, hike in nature and explore cultural sites at their own pace while avoiding organised tours and begin crammed in a minivan for hours on end. There's really no need for that.
I'm a cook so naturally I'm interested in good food, especially when there's a good value for the money to be had. I'll share my restaurant and street food recommendations together with what we paid so you have a good idea of what to expect.
If you want to save many hours of researching road trip itineraries and simply want to kick-start your first week to Morocco, you won't be disappointed! This is the itinerary my friends are all asking me about and you'll understand why.

Hey Babe!
This hike was on my bucket list, and it did not disappoint! Surprise, though, the bridge is small, and it's not a huge drop like it looks. But it's still a pretty epic hike.
I'm not going to lie; it definitely took some planning and some mental power to make it happen. Lucky for you, sweet thang, I've got you covered.
Watch Season 2 Ep. 11 to hike with me!
Below is the exact transportation route I took to get here from Munich, including where I stayed and ate. I trained from Amsterdam, but after Munich, I couldn't use the Euro Train pass anymore.

Ready to discover this astounding region?
This guide is based on my trip and what I did when I visited this area.
I came here during summer, but most of the activities can be done all year round. If you are looking for skiing suggestion, this guide is not for you.
My friends and I traveled by car, so the guide has been written accordingly. You can still find this guide interesting if you plan to bike around or come by camper or caravan as there are also suggestions of what to do and where to eat. If you plan to use public transportation, this is not covered in this guide.
This guide contains activities for 3 full days: from Pragser Wildsee Lake (Lago di Braies) to Marmolada, from 3 Peaks (3 Cime di Lavaredo) to Misurina Lake.
At the end you will also find a link to useful tour for looking for other trail suggestions o to build up your own itinerary.
Whether you are traveling alone, with your family or you couple, or with a group of friends, you will find fun and easy activities that can be done by everybody.
You will get an interactive map (with more than 50 places) that includes everything you need for a full 3 days trip to this region. If you don't have that much time, you can choose what you'd like to do & come back again to do the rest!
It includes details for hikes and activities, view points, food & drink, and I have even done some research for you by including extra accommodation and restaurant options.
