There are plenty of options on the island, but we thought the easiest was to rent an AirBnB. We chose to stay in Furnas which is nestled on the eastern slopes of Sao Miguel, and emerges as a tranquil retreat for the avid explorer. Boasting a prime location, Furnas is strategically situated next to rejuvenating thermal baths, providing a blissful respite for weary adventurers returning from a day of immersive hiking. 🚘How to naviguate on the island?

After you have landed in Sao Miguel, the easiest way to then naviguate the island is to drive. While the classic rental companies are present on the island, I used the Amazing Island company. You can contact them on there website or WhatsApp. They have been so nice and careful with us, and they have a great choice of cars available.
