Before you start your hike

Make sure you have some hiking essentials with you: plenty of water, some food, good walking shoes, suncream and a hat!

Starting location: Sea Caves

Start your hike at the famous Cape Greco Sea Caves. Start early and get plenty of photos of this amazing location!

There are a few busses that go here or take a taxi from your hotel if you don't want to leave your car behind (the hike is one way).

The sea caves in Ayia Napa mark the start of the Cape Greco national park. Legend says that pirates used the caves to store their bounty.

Start walking towards Cape Greco

Leave the Sea Caves behind you and start walking further into Cape Greco. When starting the hike, make sure the sea is on your right hand side. At the beginning there is not necessarily a path but you can simply walk over the rock formation and you will reach the path later on.

Keep walking on the E4 European long distance path

Eventually a path will appear, you are now on the E4 European long distance path. You will have mountains on your left and beautiful canyons on your right.

Lookout for the lighthouse!

You'll start seeing a lighthouse in the far distance on the right. You can go towards it, but I advice to just cross the main road that is now in front of you and turn left to keep the sea on the right of you.

The environment is now slowly changing

As you keep going you will leave the mountains behind you and you'll be emerged in more greenery. Amazing rock formations can be seen on the way.

A church next to the sea?

You got that right, you will now be approaching a church! Have a look inside and lookout for the resident cats. There is also some stairs you can go down on to have a close look at some caves, past the church on the left.
