Nuremberg is the perfect destination for an easy day trip from Munich! Just an hour train ride from Munich and you will be in the heart of the city. Nuremberg is a very walkable city from the train station, but public transportation is easy to navigate as well. 5-Days Budget-Friendly Itinerary For Germany

This itinerary recommends a 3-day trip to Dresden, Germany, with a one-day excursion to Prague. It includes visits to main sites such as the Zwinger Palace, Frauenkirche, Green Vault, Royal Palace, Pillnitz Palace and Park, as well as top-rated restaurants like Sophienkeller, Schillergarten, Dresdner Molkerei, and Mlýnec. The itinerary also suggests exploring the historic streets of the Neustadt district and taking a walk across the Charles Bridge in Prague. As for accommodations, I would highly recommend the Gewandhaus Hotel, which offers luxurious rooms and excellent amenities in the heart of Dresden's old town.

I KNOW this is a hot take, and I swear I love Germany with all my heart, but Belgium has the best beer hands down. Not to mention the frites (fries), the chocolate, and the waffles. I have been to many a European city and my tastebuds were happiest in Belgium by far. As an ode to the country (and hopefully as a way to convince you to add Belgium to your next trip), I've created this guide of some of my favorite bars & restaurants I tried throughout the country! For my plant-based besties out there: Many of these places offer vegan options. Some of them are 100% vegetarian or vegan, or have a separate menu catering to those diets. I always struggle when traveling to places with very meat-heavy traditional cuisine because I want to participate in the culture while honoring my diet. Belgium was one of the BEST countries when it came to catering to my needs. Not only did they offer plant-based food, I was able to find plant-based versions of the traditional food (this is really hard sometimes!). You can enjoy the local flavor guilt-free! Alsace is the eastern region of France that shares a border with Germany! It is filled with some of the cutest fairytale villages in the entire country! The most wonderful time of the year in Cologne 🎄🎅🎁 Cologne has a number of Christmas Markets (or Weihnachtsmarkt in German) all around the city. Each market has a unique theme, so each feels different than the last. If you were planning to visit, I would recommend budgeting two full days to see them all. I may be biased, but I think Cologne has some of the most memorable markets in all of Germany – and they regularly appear on some of the must-visit Christmas Market lists.
