Taiwan has a varied topography, ranging from plains, basins, and hills to coastlines. It is especially rich in mountain and forest resources. Its mountainous areas cover about 73.64% of the area, and alpine regions with altitudes above 1,000 meters account for 46.73%. This small island has seven mountain ranges, including Jade Mountain, the highest peak in East Asia. Therefore, the government has built many beautiful and unique trails for tourists to go and learn about the importance of ecological conservation and get close to nature.
On the basis of these forest activities, this guide lists popular trails in Taiwan that beginners can easily access to the mountains and forests for your reference. Each trail is suitable for those who love nature, want to get away from the hustle and bustle, and love hiking.
Before reading the guide, I would like to add that since most of the trails are in the suburbs, you need to drive there. If you do not have a car, the guide also lists trails that can be reached by public transportation to meet different needs. Please evaluate your needs when planning your itinerary.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask 😁

Tenerife truly stands out for its diverse panoramic views.
From any point on the island you can reach an elevation above the clouds in less than an hour.
Visiting its viewpoints is undoubtedly the best way to experience the island's charm.
That's why I've decided to focus the guide on highlighting the 7 essential viewpoints 🤩 that should be included in any visit.
You'll discover the island one viewpoint at a time.
No matter how much time you have or what your interests are, your mission should be to make it to these viewpoints at all costs.
Don't miss any of them.
After that, you can take some time to relax on the beach or by the hotel pool...😎
Note: just click on any location within the guide or map and you'll instantly get directions on your phone's Google Maps app. Make sure to download the Thatch app for a seamless and convenient experience!

This map brings you my recommended accommodation options for visiting the beautiful island of Hokkaido, based off my personal experience having spent 10 days on a road trip through central and eastern Hokkaido (and countless hours of research before that!).
🔸 These may not be the most 'budget' options but are what I'd consider to be value-for-money, and most have got a special 'X' factor reason for being chosen, be it a unique breakfast, special privileges etc. ✨
🔸 I traveled Hokkaido in late Spring🌸 (not Winter), so these would not be the best options if you're looking for a ski resort specifically (although option #6 below might just be your pick for the Winter too!)
Included:
🏨 6 hotels (I've personally stayed in all of them)
📍 An interactive map available on mobile
💻 Direct links for you to book your accommodation below
Want more info on traveling to Hokkaido? Look out for my 10-day itinerary for Central and Eastern Hokkaido coming soon! (Tip: Subscribe so you’ll get an update once it’s published!)

Reykjavík is the capital and largest city in Iceland. It’s also the northernmost capital in the world. The city, on the southwest coast of the island nation, is home to less than 150,000 people (that’s 60% of the total population). It’s by no means sleepy, though. It has a thriving art scene (music festivals, independent record stores, pop-up exhibits) and foodie spots (Michelin restaurants, organic wine bars, coffee culture). A grand church towers over the city. Candy-colored houses line the streets. Thermal swimming pools are gathering spots for most neighborhoods. Northern lights sightings are a real possibility (seasonally, of course). It’s also the jumping-off point for exciting adventures all around the Land of Fire and Ice. Pack for all seasons, as the weather changes frequently throughout the day--no matter what time of year it is. And be prepared to fall in love.
This detailed guide includes:
Places: islands, neighborhoods
Stay: hotels
Eat: bakeries, cafés, coffee shops, food carts & halls, ice cream, Michelin stars, restaurants
Drink: beer bars, breweries, cocktail bars, wine bars
Shop: beauty products, bookstores, chocolate shops, clothing boutiques, flea markets, outdoor wear, record stores, vintage clothing, wool products
Do: art museums, churches, concert venues, history museums, lakes, memorials, parks, peace stones, roads, sculptures, sports venues, squares, streets
Transportation: airports, bus terminals, car rentals, ferries
Note: I travel to Reykjavík quite frequently, so this guide is updated often.

Sicily is like an onion 🧅 whose layers are peeled to reveal yet more layers. Nearly the size of Massachusetts, Sicily - Mediterranean’s largest island - offers a seemingly overwhelming range of textures, tastes and experiences: hilltop towns built from a honey-colored stone that turns incandescent at sunset, blood 🏵️ oranges so sweet you can eat the peel, churches built atop Phoenician walls, adorned with Arab flourishes and covered in Byzantine mosaics, beaches running from grey pebbles to licorice-black sand and always the vast prairie of the sea, stretching to the horizon in shimmering blues and greens.
The island is undeniably Italian but also proudly and stubbornly apart from the mainland, which many locals refer to as "il continente". I've even included some personal anecdotes to give extra color to each destination!
NB: As I travel back to the region I will continue to update this list. If you purchase today, you will receive all future updates.

It is such a gem to visit in the eastern part of Bali.
What you can expect from this itinerary:
- Traditional ceremonies of Balinese people
- Selection of waterfalls to visit
- The freshest fish on the island
- Magical Bali's Resorts and Villas
- Where to stay after the flight in Denpasar
- What to do in Denpasar
- Sidemen
- Things to do in Sidemen
- Where to eat in Sidemen
- Beautiful Temples
- Stunning Rice Terraces
- Amed
- Things to do on the way back
Note: This itinerary may be split into 3 different trips, as well as be an ultimate 1-week journey.
Many waterfalls and temples require a payment or donation ranging from IDR 5-50,000+.
I added accommodation variations for budget and mid/luxury budget variations so you can choose what suits you better.
Each added to guide spot contains my notes for your fortunate adventure.
All places I added to this guide are a must-visit at least once in a lifetime. I am not in Bali right now, but already started to search for tickets while completing this guide 🤣

Capri's gorgeous coastline, amazing views, great shopping, and fantastic food means there's way more to do there than what you can squeeze into one day!
This guide is for the person who wants to luxuriate in everything Cpari has to offer, rather than fit it into one quick day. It has suggestions for how long to give the major areas and activities, as well as tweaks if you have 2 days or 3+ days.

- the four major parts of the island and how to prioritize them
- explanation of transportation options on the island
- 4 restaurants and 1 gelato spot
