Your free & paid guides for Denmark, all in one place. A little bit more about myself: I'm French and spent most of my life between France and the UK. I have always loved travelling and started visiting European capital cities during Uni. In 2019 I did a bus trip to Central and Northern Europe only taking night buses for a week (Lyon - Prague - Copenhagen - Berlin - Munich - Lyon) and fell in love with Copenhagen. I came back to Copenhagen 3 years later in 2022 to get married with my now husband so Copenhagen holds a very special place in our hearts. Through these guides, I want to encourage you to explore Denmark's hidden gems & most beautiful locations. TIP: If you wish to get a sense of where these locations are relative to Copenhagen, make sure to use the map feature! I hope these guides will be useful and inspire you to explore more of the country. COMING SOON: ➕Day Trips from Copenhagen ➕Getting Married in Copenhagen for foreigners NB: This is not a PDF but an interactive guide which means that when you click on a place in the guide or map you can directly open directions on your phone's Google Maps app, call restaurants or book hotels. Welcome to my city! I created the ultimate guide with more than 200 selected things to do, see and taste as a result of more than 21 years living in this city. When people think of Denmark, they often picture the statue of the little mermaid, Tivoli amusement park and lots of bikes. And while Copenhagen is all of that, there’s also much more to the city. Included are the best places to see between: - Castles - Churches - Parks - Hidden gems - Museums & Galleries - Panoramic points - Best restaurants, unique cafes, street food, brunch - Suggested itineraries & more Here you'll also find general information of the city, how to get around, what not to do and frequently asked questions, as well as suggested itineraries. Do you have any question? Send me a DM on Instagram @worldofsofiab or an email to world.of.sofiab@gmail.com Happy exploring! *** Disclosure: For attractions, I provide GetYourGuide and Booking.com links where possible. I myself love the vendors as you can keep all your tickets/stays in one place (even better with the Copenhagen card), you also get instant confirmation and can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before your planned activity/stay - this is a major benefit in a city like Copenhagen where the weather can dictate your itinerary. Using the links provided also help me as a small business, as I make a small commission with no additional charge to you!

My travel experience for Denmark and Sweden is mostly in the Copenhagen area and southern Sweden. One great idea to see and explore both countries is to do a 4 day trip around the Copenhagen Sound. You literally will make a circle around it. You should start in Copenhagen, whether you are flying in or not it is a central location to begin. Both Denmark and Sweden have easy and reliable public transportation. You can purchase a ticket to travel from Copenhagen to the Swedish cities of Malmö, Lund, and Helsingborg. A stop in Malmö and Lund is recommended. You can check out my destination itinerary for Lund. Once in Helsingborg, you will need to take a ferry to cross back into Denmark. Helsingør or Elsingør, is a historic and quaint small city with much history and beautiful architecture to admire. You can also make this journey on bike. You may want to use the train and ferry to cross the water, but it is also a beautiful bike trip if you have a few extra days to bike. You could also reverse this trip the go from Copenhagen to Helsingør to Sweden. Either way, this is a wonderful trip to visit both countries in a few days. I've highlighted hotels, restaurants, and sightseeing that I have highly enjoyed while traveling to these cities.
