We just came back from traveling in Albania and we visited so many amazing and unique areas. From the mountains, to the riviera, and the historical towns in between. We LOVED our time in Albania. This guide will show you the wonderful places we stayed and LOVED as well as many beautiful spots we saw along the way that I would have also loved to have stayed in and would go back to someday. This is the result of lots of research and thought put into these curated spots. In the notes section of each I will list reasons why these places appealed to me and why I think they would be great stays or why I KNOW they were. This guide will be focused on visiting the UNESCO World Heritage city of Berat in Albania. It will include the things I did and where I stayed while I was there, as well as new discoveries and other beautiful accommodation, food, and activities I found while there. It will also include some basics for traveling in Albania such as currency, safety, weather, how to get around etc. Berat is an incredible city with so much beauty. We visited numerous wineries in this area, stayed in a beautiful family run hotel, had incredible experiences with the local people, and overall just loved the vibe of this place! This guide will give you more than enough to do for 48 hours in Berat and additional things to do if you spend more time!

I spent two weeks traveling around Albania and created an itinerary of the best places. This itinerary includes Tirana, Sarandë, Berat, Shkodër, Theth, and Valbonë.

This guide is a full itinerary for a road trip from North to South in Albania.
