Thomas Hill
"One of Rome's most iconic and best pizzerias. Pizzeria ai Marmi is a traditional Roman pizzeria in Trastevere, open since 1931. The pizzas are cooked in a fantastic wood fired oven and are constantly being served, together with delicious fritti. The menu includes all the classics and other unique toppings, and a great selection of fried starters. You will also find a small selection of cold starters, such as meats and cheeses or salad. This is a historic location in a beautiful area of the city, where you can experience Roman pizza culture in its original form. They don't take reservations, walk-ins only."

"This pizzeria is the kind of place you go for great pizza and table wine or Italian beer at super low prices. It's chaotic and loud - a true representation of the Eternal City! If you are in a mood to enjoy real Italian pizza and Roman specialties, like fried zucchini flowers, surrounded by locals - this is your place! "

"Great buzzing pizza place. Unlike thick, chewy Neapolitan-style pizza, a Roman pizza is as thin and crisp as a cracker, and Marmi’s wood oven turns out hundreds of them a night. Start your meal with supplì, fried salt cod, and uber-Roman beans cooked with pork rinds, which should be washed down with cold beer."
