In this self-guided tour you will discover, taste and enjoy some of the best food in one of Rome's oldest and most vibrant neighbourhoods, Trastevere.
From a historic local wine bar and unique Roman specialties to dinner at a traditional-style trattoria and renowned cannoli - you will taste the very best of what Rome has to offer at night.
The entire experience will last about 3 hours and will include four locals' favorite spots with 15 Roman specialties. I will share with you exactly what to order in each place as well as all the essential information on Italian food culture, history and traditions.

Aperitivo at Enoteca La Vite
If you are visiting Italy, I am sure you've heard of Italians' favorite word - aperitivo. For those of you who don't know - aperitivo is a pre-meal drink. This daily cultural ritual is done over drinks and appetizers in the early evening hours between work and dinner ( usually between 6pm-8pm.) And when you are in Rome, one of the best places to experience a true aperitivo is Enoteca La Vite. This glass-fronted, wood-paneled enoteca offers a rare selection of local wines, marinated vegetables and meats all enjoyed in a cozy environment.

Enoteca La Vite is locals' go-to place for aperitivo. When you arrive, most likely you will have to ring the doorbell ( almost like you are trying to get into a speakeasy,) which gives this place even more charm.
The owner of Enoteca, Giulia, offers exclusive local wines that most likely you will not be able to find anywhere else. Therefore, I recommend that you ask Giulia to select a glass (or a bottle ;) of wine for you.
And if you are not in the mood for wine, La Vite also offers a wide variety of cocktails ( including non-alcoholic ones.)
