Read along with me as I tell you exactly how I spent the perfect 12 (ish) hour date night in Chicago with my husband and our two best friends.
Reva, my fire wife and book bestie have recently entered our hockey romance era (didn't know that was actually a thing but here we are). After reading a couple hockey smut novels we found ourselves booking a trip to the windy city to enjoy a Chicago Blackhawks game...since it's valentines day next week we invited our hubbies to join us too ;)
It ended up being the absolute perfect evening beyond fulfilling our hearts' hockey desires. We were led to the last standing prohibition era speakeasy, in the basement of the oldest building in Chicago. We shared a second hand smoke fueled nostalgic visit to one of the mob boss locales as well. Foodie finds on this trip were a solid 10 out of 10! Our hotel was just the right amount of classy yet affordable and we plan to return in the summer to spend time exploring the area on foot here too!

There are so many things to see and do in Arizona, it can be quite overwhelming! Viator is my go to for day trips, excursions, and guided tours. There are options for full day, half day, or even 1-2 hour trips to fit your needs.
I have listed some of the most popular trips for each of the stops we took on my Ultimate 4-Day Arizona Road Trip Adventure.

Ultimate Arizona Road Trip Food & Hotel Guide: Phoenix-Page-Grand Canyon -Scottsdale Loop
For our anniversary, my husband and I took a 4-day road trip through Arizona. We began in Phoenix hiking Camelback, explored a ghost town, sunset hiked a Sedona vortex, stargazed in awe & slept under the stars on an authentic Navajo reservation near Page, and felt the wonder that is the Grand Canyon.
This 4-day hotel and food guide includes everywhere we stayed and ate along the way and would 10/10 recommend.

Portland -> Canon Beach -> down the coast to NoCal Redwoods -> Grants Pass -> Eugene -> Portland!!
My husband and I just returned from an epically exhausting 5-Day Coastal Oregon Road Trip and I would not have changed a thing!! We covered 16 hours of driving in that time, so it was definitely a "see as much as possible" kind of trip. While you could easily spend an entire weekend at every spot we stayed, we enjoy this type of travel in order to cross off as many travel bucket list goals as we can manage around our 9-5s
By the time dinner came around we were so exhausted from the day's travels that all we could think of was hitting the pillow, meaning some of my foodie finds went un tested but I will include the places I had vetted and didn't make it to as well. One thing is for sure: locals on Reddit have never let me down on their food recs :D

There are arguably several dozen bests for each of these categories but I narrowed it down to my absolute faves (and for me close-ish to the south side) bc honestly I just avoid north side traffic at absolutely all costs so there's that. Please don't @ me for leaving off any well deserving establishments ;)

My SIL, her husband, and their two boys live in West Harlem so I have been out a couple times with my kiddos to visit. Here is my 24 hour itinerary in the big apple with my little travel buddy, Blake (my 4 yo best dude) for our most recent trip. We flew in late Friday night, explored all day Saturday, then Sunday was a day of indoor play for the boys. Follow along the map for our exact route and how we made the most out of our short time in the city.
We took the train from uptown to Central Park, traveling on foot from there until just before taking the train from Grand Central to the ferry in the evening and then back home.
If you've been to NYC, I'd love to hear your favorites in the comments. If you found this helpful, don't forget to save it to your faves or share with a friend

I will share the boutique hotels we stayed in during our 5-day Pacific Coast Highway road trip. Starting in San Francisco, we made our way down the coast staying in the most charming boutique hotels along the way. Stops included Carmel and Santa Barbara.
