The Ultimate 4-Day Arizona Road Trip Adventure: a Full Guided Itinerary

For our anniversary, my husband and I took a 4-day road trip through Arizona. We began in Phoenix hiking Camelback, explored a ghost town, sunset hiked a Sedona vortex, stargazed in awe & slept under the stars on an authentic Navajo reservation near Page, and felt the wonder that is the Grand Canyon. This 4-day itinerary will fill you with enough adventure to last a lifetime! This Ultimate Arizona Road Trip Adventure is the result of hours of planning and research. The guide features an interactive map, detailed directions, as well as recommended stops and activities,a alternative plan options, trail information for hiking enthusiasts, prime photo spots, dining recommendations, and more; all neatly organized into a 4-day itinerary!

Day 1: Phoenix to Jerome to Sedona

After landing in Phoenix we hit the road to kickstart our first day of jam packed adventure. First stop: quick views at Papago Park's Hole in the Rock, followed by brunch at OHSO and then a not-so-easy-peasy hike up Camelback Mountain. Exhausted, we grabbed a flight of beers, some grub, and then made our way north towards Sedona. Veering slightly off course, we made a pit stop to explore the ghost town of Jerome (highly recommend for anyone entranced by historical sights and bygone days). Ultimately, we found refuge for the night at the Wildflower Inn in Sedona where we would rest up for an early morning sunrise hike.
