This has been a long awaited list. The Bay Area is obviously host to some of the most breathtaking views, and unforgettable sceneries. The quintessential mountain and ocean backdrop never goes unnoticed. Below is a compilation of our top favorite SF hikes. I hope you enjoy as much as we do. See you on the trail!

From the time I fell in love with the Beach Boys music, I have been an ocean loving girl. I longed to go to the California coast and live the life, surfing, and lying on the beach all day. But growing up in the Southern part of the United States that never was to be. I never lost either my love of the beach/ocean or my desire to see the California coast, but it was a long, LONG time before I could make that dream come true. But finally I did, and believe me, it was all I hoped and imagined it would be. I traveled the Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to Pismo Beach exploring every little place that looked fun, interesting or just spectacularly scenic. As you can imagine--I stopped a LOT. In this guide I will share with you all of the wonderful places I discovered. You too can live the dream. I also include many of the photos I took at each place.

When many people visit Santa Fe, they stay in the city and explore the many restaurants, galleries, and high-end stores in this rich cultural center. Don't get me wrong these are all lovely and definitely a must-see or a great weekend trip. However, I tend to venture down a road less traveled. If you are visiting Santa Fe, I definitely recommend a day or two on the high road to Taos. This is not the quickest route to Taos but is the most picturesque. It goes from Nambe, thru Chimayo to Taos, winding through several small towns and communities at the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

Lucky for us, California is filled with adventurous spots that are only a car ride away. Here is a list of the best road trips to take from Los Angeles.

Every detail about how I pulled off a trip around the Western United States and saw some of the country's most incredible natural wonders for less than $1,300 total. 🤯 Of course, this is the exact route that we used, but there are plenty of other options to choose from.
