Results for Buenos Aires History
I have been living in Argentina for the past year (plus 5 months in Buenos Aires back in 2005). This is one of my favorite cities in the entire world, and I want to share with you what makes it so great.
This 10 day itinerary begins on a Friday morning, and is arranged according to market schedules, or other events in the city that fall on particular days. But you can certainly do the activities out of order, and fit them to your schedule as needed.
I have planned this 10-day itinerary to allow you to maximize your days, and hours in this amazing city, but still allow you to enjoy the small moments without feeling overwhelmed, and get rest when needed.
I have spent around 100 hours researching, writing descriptions to give detailed information of every place mentioned in this itinerary, visiting and testing out each day; they are all genuine recommendations. I have carefully planned out and timed each activity, including transportation and time moving between sites. I have also linked related articles and videos from my blog and YouTube channel.
This itinerary will provide you not only with daily activities, but information on how to get the best exchange rate, how to stay safe, and information for transportation- how to get from spot to spot, so you can put as little time into planning as possible. Let me do that for you! :)
This is not the ideal itinerary for those seeking the nightlife and parties. It is full of morning, daytime, and evening activities (with a few optional activities that go into the night) to help you get to know the culture of Buenos Aires and Argentina. It does not include nightclubs.
This is a great itinerary if you are coming to Buenos Aires for the first time and you want to see all the important places, along with a few extra gems. This can also serve if you live in the city but have friends and family coming to visit. I've got it all planned out for you!
I have included a lot of walking in this itinerary, though I have attempted to concentrate each day in one particular area of the city whenever possible. However, the city is full of transportation options if you prefer less steps due to accessability issues, or fatigue.
I strongly suggest reading through the entire itinerary at the beginning of the week in case there are places where you need to make a reservation. If so, it will be listed at the top of each day.

This upscale residential barrio located northeast of the city center is perhaps *the* reason Buenos Aires is known as the "Paris of South America."
Home to dozens of important historic and cultural landmarks, postcard-worthy Belle Epoque architecture, and a buzzing variety of restaurants, bars, shops, and cafés, Recoleta is a favorite among both visitors and locals alike.
Below you'll find a wide array of options to best explore the area at your leisure, taking in the beautiful sights and its eternally chic denizens along the way.

I spent two weeks exploring Argentina’s capital in January 2024, and fell head over heels for Buenos Aires. It’s now my second favorite city in South America, after Rio. From the incredible food and budget-friendly prices to the tango vibes and irresistible alfajores, this city completely stole my heart.

Unsure of what to do in the capital of the Province of Córdoba? Well look no further, I’ve got you covered!
Córdoba is the second biggest city in Argentina, but without a lot of the chaos of Buenos Aires. It’s the perfect place for getting that big city fix, but still feel really chilled out.
I spent 3 entire months getting to know this city and what it has to offer. I made several local friends, which is how I discoverd off the beaten path spots. I'm now going to pass those secrets over to you.

This was our first adventurous trip as a couple where we really toured around Argentina to try and see as much of it as we could in two weeks whilst really trying to get a feel for the places we visited.
In this itinerary, you'll spend two weeks covering these spots in Argentina:
-> El Chalten (Patagonia!)
-> El Calafate (& the Glacier)
-> Ushuaia (Walk With The Penguins!)
-> Buenos Aires (The Famous City)
This itinerary covers each day & outlines where to stay, where to eat, and what to do. It also covers things like what to know before arriving in Argentina, travel times, our experiences, and so much more.
We did this exact itinerary when we visited in 2021 so you'll have our input and can be sure it's the perfect itinerary to see as much of Argentina in two weeks whilst still enjoying as much as possible during your stay in each of those places.

Patagonia, Salta, and a little Buenos Aires.
When flying within the country from Buenos Aires, you can use the Newberry Aeroparque airport (AEP) inside the city rather than the international airport (EZE) which is about an hour outside.
Money tips: Bring USD and exchange locally at the “blue rate” which is 2x the official rate. As of Dec 2022 credit cards (at least visa) are also charging at the blue rate, which makes travel way easier! If not, you can also send yourself money using the Western Union website which has a rate closer to the blue rate. The Remitly app is also a good option if you need to make a cash deposit for anything.
