For our anniversary, my husband and I took a 4-day road trip through Arizona. We began in Phoenix hiking Camelback, explored a ghost town, sunset hiked a Sedona vortex, stargazed in awe & slept under the stars on an authentic Navajo reservation near Page, and felt the wonder that is the Grand Canyon. Okay, so these parks are huge. And driving through them is a long drive, but if you want to know which spots are the best (in my humble opinion) to stop the car, keep reading! I took two different trips to these parks, and I personally think driving NORTH to SOUTH (seeing Kings Canyon and then Sequoia) is the best way to do it. For some reason, if you drive south (and therefore downhill) through Sequoia, you will see more sequoias!

Save this detailed 8-day hiking and road trip around the Golden Circle of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.
