Bali + it’s Surrounding Islands: Ultimate Guide to Canggu, Uluwatu, Nusa Lembongan, Lombok, & the Komodo Islands of Indonesia
Experience a unforgettable trip through the Indonesian archipelago, where Bali and its neighboring gems captivate with their pristine beaches, jungle waterfalls, volcano vistas, lush rice fields, and vibrant cultures, creating a true paradise for adventurous souls seeking an island-hopping journey. This itinerary includes in-depth travel information on the following locations: Canggu and Uluwatu on the island of Bali (with day trip suggestions to Ubud and other areas around the island), the town of Kuta on Bali’s neighboring island of Lombok, Nusa Lembongan, and a Komodo Island boat trip. Here’s exactly what you can expect from my Ultimate Bali Travel Guide 👇
This guide is the result of hours upon hours of planning, research, and my in-person experience and lessons-learned after spending 6 weeks in these areas during 2 different trips. The guide includes fun features such as an interactive map, directions that connect directly to your phone’s Google or Apple Maps app, and the exact coordinates to some of my favorite hidden gems, waterfalls, & beaches.
It lays out instructions to help you plan your perfect trip to this area including:
1. Over 30 activities (including 12 beaches, 11 waterfalls, 6 temples, where to get up close and personal with monkeys, stunning rice terraces you can walk through, the best snorkeling tour I have ever done, volcano treks, scenic viewpoints, surf spots, and more!)
2. 50+ accommodation suggestions including luxury Balinese villas, boutique hotels, tropical bungalows, secret island eco lodges, surf camps, yoga retreats, waterfront rooms with volcano views, and exactly where I stayed during my own trip ( & where I only spent on average $38 per night (based on 2 people sharing a room))!
3. What airport to fly into/out of, how to get around including scooter rental suggestions and contact information for the EXACT drivers I used, and exactly how to get from one location to the next!
4. Hyperlinks to every single resource you could need to book your trip directly from the guide
5. A cost breakdown of what I spent on my trip to help you budget for your own!
6. Logistics around traveling to Indonesia such as whether you’ll need a visa, how to prepare medically (vaccines you may need, travel insurance, and tips to avoid the dreaded Bali Belly), SIM cards, what to pack, and navigating the currency (using cash vs credit cards, tipping culture, etc.)
7. Behind the scenes exclusive photos and videos from me
Plus it’s mobile friendly when you download the Thatch App for free so you can easily access all of the info right from your phone!
I have hand-crafted this guide specifically for adventure travelers (like me!) and feel so confident you will have an amazing trip with this guide by your side 😏 As a part of your purchase of the guide, here are a few promises I can make you:
1. This is a LIVING guide: I will update it as I find more information and discover more places which means you have lifetime access to all updated information as it’s added!
2. I only make guides based on areas I have not only been to but know well! I include both activities that I have done myself as well as those that are on my bucketlist for next time I visit! I will always call out the ones I have not done yet and provide you the exact resources you need to experience them yourself!
3. These guides are completely transparent! You can be sure that all unfiltered opinions I provide are my own 🙃 If I include any sponsored information or affiliate links, I will be sure to call these out directly.
This guide truly is everything you need to plan an adventure-filled trip to Bali and its surrounding islands. I can’t wait to hear & see your adventure! Feel free to send me a DM with your feedback, fill out my feedback form at the bottom of the guide, & tag me in your photos! @katbennettphoto

Sabah, on the beautiful island of Borneo, is seriously one of the most underrated places I’ve been to! It’s Malaysia’s second-largest state and shares the island with Indonesia and Brunei, making it a super diverse and interesting spot.
You’ll find everything here—amazing landscapes, unique cultures, and beautiful beaches. It was once known as North Borneo and used to be a British colony in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Sabah finally got self-government on August 31, 1963.
Places you'll visit with this itinerary:
🏙️ Kuala Lumpur
🦧 Sandakan
🛶 Kinabatangan River
🐠 Semporna
Note: This is an interactive itinerary, not a PDF. 🗺️

Patagonia, Salta, and a little Buenos Aires.
When flying within the country from Buenos Aires, you can use the Newberry Aeroparque airport (AEP) inside the city rather than the international airport (EZE) which is about an hour outside.
Money tips: Bring USD and exchange locally at the “blue rate” which is 2x the official rate. As of Dec 2022 credit cards (at least visa) are also charging at the blue rate, which makes travel way easier! If not, you can also send yourself money using the Western Union website which has a rate closer to the blue rate. The Remitly app is also a good option if you need to make a cash deposit for anything.

Greece, my favorite European country! The Greek mainland is by far my favorite part of Greece. It is less crowded and a lot cheaper than the famous islands. You can still find many authentic villages and incredible beaches. You can find the most relevant archeological sites here and breathtaking monasteries. It is the best region to go hiking and explore the many waterfalls. We always rent a car and go on a road trip through the vineyards and olive and peach trees. Here’s my Northern Greece Travel Guide including what you can’t miss when you go there and where to eat and stay.

Asturias is a mountainous and coastal region in the North of Spain that is well known amongst Spaniards for it's natural beauty, incredible hikes, natural beaches and delicious food.
It's a different side of Spain, a far cry from the Mediterranean beaches and extravagant parties most international tourists know, but in my opinion, it's the best Spain has to offer. It is relatively unknown amongst international tourists.
This guide to Asturias is the result of my experience traveling multiple times to this region and dozens of hours of research. It has all the information you will need to travel to this part of the world and save you hours and hours of planning and stress.
I have included numerous recommendations on natural parks, hikes, beaches, towns and other places to visit, as well as 15+ accomodation and eating-out options in different areas of Asturias.
Most importantly, I have included information on how to get to Asturias and how to move around the region, currency, travel safety, and visa and entry requirements so you don't have to be too bothered by the logistics. I've got you covered!
This guide is divided into sections so you can read the entire guide or go to the sections that interest you the most.
It also includes an interactive map and it's mobile-friendly, so you can access all the info on your phone when you download the thatch app, and, most importantly, this is a living guide, so I'll update this at no extra cost to you.

I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie and when I travel, I look for at least one thrill-seeking activity. I found one of the longest and fastest zip lines in the world and it's just outside of Rome! However, finding my way outside of Rome to this small commune was not easy as this isn't your typical Rome tourist activity! That's why I made this guide to help my fellow thrill-seekers.
This guide is part of my 12 day trip to Italy as a solo female foodie thrill seeker that I took back in March 2022.
It details a one day trip in and around Rome and includes:
🛏️ Hostel experience
🚆 Transportation tips
🍴 Local + non-touristy spots to eat at
🏞️ Scenic photo spots
🚶🏻♀️Rome city center walking tour

In Manresa beguines the El Camí Ignasià, one of the many pilgrim trips that you can find in this península, such as The Caminho de Fatima in Portugal or the Way of St. James.
It is also the city in the heart of Catalonia, a region of Spain. The rooms were the ones who originated the city for strategic motives, but before them there were other tribes, the Ibers, who ruled in the territory.
Discover the little hidden gems of Manresa, a town near Barcelona with a lot of history and curious facts.
